Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6460
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the first charity in Islam was given by Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: "Keep its original with you and give its profit in charity."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ اسلام میں سب سے پہلاصدقہ وہ تھا جو سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کیا تھا اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا: ”تھا اس کی اصل تو اپنے پاس رکھ لو اور اس کے منافع صدقہ کر دو۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Islam mein sab se pehla sadqa woh tha jo Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kiya tha aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaya: "tha is ki asal to apne pass rakh lo aur is ke manafe sadqa kar do."
حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: أَوَّلُ صَدَقَةٍ كَانَتْ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ صَدَقَةُ عُمَرَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" احْبِسْ أُصُولَهَا، وَسَبِّلْ ثَمَرَتَهَا".
