Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6462
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to spend the night at Dhi Tuwa. When morning came, he would perform Ghusl (ritual bath) and order his companions to do the same. Then he would enter through the upper Thaniya and exit through the lower Thaniya, saying that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to do the same.

نافع رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما مقام ذی طوی میں پہنچ کر رات گزارتے صبح ہونے کے بعد غسل کرتے اور ساتھیوں کو بھی غسل کا حکم دیتے اور ثنیہ علیا سے داخل ہوتے اور ثنیہ سفلی سے باہر نکلتے اور بتاتے تھے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ بھی اسی طرح کرتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ " يَبِيتُ بِذِي طُوًى، فَإِذَا أَصْبَحَ اغْتَسَلَ، وَأَمَرَ مَنْ مَعَهُ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلُوا، وَيَدْخُلُ مِنَ الْعُلْيَا، فَإِذَا خَرَجَ خَرَجَ مِنَ السُّفْلَى"، وَيَزْعُمُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ.
