Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7107
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Abu Umama (may Allah be pleased with him) that I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with my father. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him, "Is this your son?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Do you love him?" He said, "Yes!" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "He is not responsible for any of your sins, and you are not responsible for any of his sins."

سیدنا ابورمثہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں اپنے والد صاحب کے ساتھ نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان سے پوچھا کیا یہ تمہارا بیٹا ہے؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا جی ہاں نبی کریم ﷺ نے پوچھا کیا تمہیں اس سے محبت ہے؟ عرض کیا جی ہاں! نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہ تمہارے کسی جرم کا ذمہ دار نہیں اور تم اس کے کسی جرم کے ذمہ دار نہیں۔
Sayyidna AbuRomaysa razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh mein apne wald sahib ke sath Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hua Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se pucha kya yeh tumhara beta hai? Unhon ne jawab diya ji haan Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne pucha kya tumhen is se mohabbat hai? Arz kiya ji haan! Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Yeh tumhare kisi jurm ka zimmedar nahin aur tum is ke kisi jurm ke zimmedar nahin.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ السَّدُوسِيِّ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا رِمْثَةَ التَّيْمِيَّ ، قَالَ: جِئْتُ مَعَ أَبِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ:" ابْنُكَ هَذَا؟" قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ:" أَتُحِبُّهُ؟" قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ:" أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ، وَلَا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ".
