Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7640
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength." The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Then who is the strong one?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The strong one is the one who controls himself when he is angry."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ٍپہلوان وہ نہیں ہے جو کسی کو پچھاڑ دے صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ پھر پہلوان کون ہوتا ہے نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اصل پہلوان وہ ہے جو غصہ کے وقت اپنے نفس پر قابو رکھے
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Pehlwan woh nahi hai jo kisi ko patchaar de. Sahaba razi Allah anhu ne poocha Ya Rasulullah phir pehlwan kaun hota hai? Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya asal pehlwan woh hai jo ghusse ke waqt apne nafs per qaboo rakhe.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، وَعَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَيْسَ الشَّدِيدُ بِالصُّرَعَةِ"، قَالُوا: فَمَنْ الشَّدِيدُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: " الَّذِي يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ" .
