Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7641
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which deed is the most virtuous? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "To have faith in Allah." The questioner asked, "Then which deed is most virtuous?" He replied, "Jihad in the path of Allah." The questioner asked, "And after that?" He replied, "Hajj Mabrur (an accepted pilgrimage)."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ کسی نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے یہ سوال پوچھا کہ کون سا عمل سب سے زیادہ افضل ہے نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اللہ پر ایمان لانا سائل نے پوچھا کہ پھر کون سا عمل افضل ہے فرمایا جہاد فی سبیل اللہ سائل نے پوچھا کہ اس کے بعد فرمایا حج مبرور۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah RA se marvi hai ke aik martaba kisi ne Nabi Kareem SAW se yeh sawal poocha ke kon sa amal sab se zyada afzal hai Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya Allah par iman lana Sail ne poocha ke phir kon sa amal afzal hai farmaya Jihad fi sabilillah Sail ne poocha ke is ke baad farmaya Hajj mabroor.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: " الْإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ"، قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ:" الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ"، قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ:" ثُمَّ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ" .
