Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7705
Abdur Rahman Auraj (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that once he heard Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) saying: "You people think that Abu Hurairah narrates many Hadiths from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). (Allah has promised to gather everyone on the Day of Judgment) and you wonder why these Hadiths are not narrated by the Muhajireen companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? Or why don't the Ansar companions narrate these Hadiths? So the fact is that the Muhajireen were busy in trade in the markets, and the Ansar companions were busy taking care of their properties and gardens, while I was a single man and used to be present in most of the gatherings of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When they were absent, I was present. When they forgot, I remembered. Once, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'Who is there who will spread his sheet (for me to sit on) until I finish my talk and then cling to it with his body? Then he will never forget anything he heard from me.' So, I spread the sheet I was wearing on my body. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished his talk, I wrapped it around my body. By the One in whose grip is my soul, from that day onwards, I never forgot anything I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). And by Allah, if it were not for two verses in the Book of Allah, I would never have narrated even a single Hadith from him." Then he recited these two verses: "Indeed, those who conceal the clear proofs and guidance."

عبد الرحمن اعرج رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ تم لوگوں کا یہ خیال ہے کہ ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ علیہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے حوالے سے بکثرت حدیثیں بیان کرتے ہیں (اللہ کے یہاں سب کے جمع ہونے کا وعدہ ہے اور تم کہتے کہ یہ احادیث مہاجرین صحابہ نبی کریم ﷺ سے کیوں روایت نہیں کرتے؟ یا انصار ان احادیث کو کیوں بیان نہیں کرتے؟ تو بات یہ ہے کہ مہاجرین بازاروں اور منڈیوں میں تجارت میں مشغول رہتے اور انصاری صحابہ اپنے اموال و باغات کی خبر گیری میں مصروف رہتے تھے جبکہ میں اکیلا آدمی تھا اکثر نبی کریم ﷺ کی مجالس میں موجود ہوتا تھا جب وہ غائب ہوتے تھے تو میں حاضر ہوتا تھا جب وہ بھول جاتے تو میں یاد رکھتا تھا ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کون ہے جو میری گفتگو ختم ہونے تک اپنی چادر (میرے بیٹھنے کے لئے) بچھادے پھر اسے جسم سے چمٹا لے؟ پھر وہ مجھ سے سنی ہوئی کوئی بات ہرگز نہ بھولے گا۔ چنانچہ میں نے اپنے جسم پر جو چادراوڑھ رکھی تھی وہ بچھا دی جب نبی کریم ﷺ نے اپنی گفتگو مکمل فرمائی تو میں نے اسے اپنے جسم پر لپیٹ لیا اس ذات کی قسم جس کے قبضہ قدرت میں میری جان ہے اس دن کے بعد میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے جو بات بھی سنی اسے کبھی نہیں بھولا۔ اور واللہ اگر کتاب اللہ میں دو آیتیں نہ ہوتیں تو میں تم سے کبھی ایک حدیث بھی بیان نہ کرتا پھر انہوں نے ان دو آیتوں کی تلاوت فرمائی جو لوگ ہماری نازل کردہ واضح دلیلوں اور ہدایت کی باتوں کو چھپاتے ہیں
Abdul Rahman Uraj Rehmatullah Alaih kehte hain ki aik martaba maine Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko yeh farmate huye suna ki tum logon ka yeh khayal hai ki Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Alaih Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hawale se bakasrat ahadees bayan karte hain (Allah ke yahan sab ke jama hone ka wada hai aur tum kehte ho ki yeh ahadees Muhajireen Sahaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se kyon riwayat nahin karte? Ya Ansar in ahadees ko kyon bayan nahin karte? To baat yeh hai ki Muhajireen bazaron aur mandiyon mein tijarat mein mashgool rehte aur Ansar Sahaba apne amwal o baghat ki khabar giri mein masroof rehte the jabke main akela aadmi tha aksar Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki majalis mein maujood hota tha jab woh gaib hote the to main hazir hota tha jab woh bhool jate to main yaad rakhta tha aik martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya kaun hai jo meri guftgu khatam hone tak apni chadar (mere baithne ke liye) bichhade phir use jism se chamta le? Phir woh mujh se suni hui koi baat hargiz na bhoole ga. Chunanche maine apne jism par jo chadar odh rakhi thi woh bichha di jab Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apni guftgu mukmmal farmai to maine use apne jism par lapet liya is zaat ki qasam jis ke qabza qudrat mein meri jaan hai us din ke baad maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se jo baat bhi suni use kabhi nahin bhoola. Aur wallahi agar Kitab Allah mein do aayaten na hoti to main tumse kabhi ek hadees bhi bayan na karta phir unhon ne in do aayaton ki tilawat farmai jo log humari nazil kardah wazeh daleelon aur hidayat ki baaton ko chhupate hain.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : إِنَّكُمْ تَقُولُونَ: أَكْثَرَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ! وَاللَّهُ الْمُوعِدُ، إِنَّكُمْ تَقُولُونَ: مَا بَالُ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ لَا يُحَدِّثُونَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذِهِ الْأَحَادِيثِ؟! وَمَا بَالُ الْأَنْصَارِ لَا يُحَدِّثُونَ بِهَذِهِ الْأَحَادِيثِ؟! وَإِنَّ أَصْحَابِي مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ كَانَتْ تَشْغَلُهُمْ صَفَقَاتُهُمْ فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ، وَإِنَّ أَصْحَابِي مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ كَانَتْ تَشْغَلُهُمْ أَرْضُوهُمْ وَالْقِيَامُ عَلَيْهَا، وَإِنِّي كُنْتُ امْرءاًَ مُعْتَكِفًا، وَكُنْتُ أُكْثِرُ مُجَالَسَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَحْضُرُ إِذَا غَابُوا، وَأَحْفَظُ إِذَا نَسُوا، وَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدَّثَنَا يَوْمًا فَقَالَ: " مَنْ يَبْسُطُ ثَوْبَهُ حَتَّى أَفْرُغَ مِنْ حَدِيثِي، ثُمَّ يَقْبِضُهُ إِلَيْهِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يَنْسَى شَيْئًا سَمِعَهُ مِنِّي أَبَدًا" ، فَبَسَطْتُ ثَوْبِي، أَوْ قَالَ: نَمِرَتِي، ثُمَّ قَبَضْتُهُ إِلَيَّ، فَوَاللَّهِ مَا نَسِيتُ شَيْئًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ، لَوْلَا آيَةٌ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ أَبَدًا، ثُمَّ تَلَا: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى سورة البقرة آية 159 الْآيَةَ كُلَّهَا.
