Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7873
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The period of hospitality is three days, and whatever is beyond that is charity."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ضیافت (مہمان نوازی) تین دن تک ہوتی ہے اس کے بعد جو کچھ بھی ہے وہ صدقہ ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ziyafat mehman nawazi teen din tak hoti hai is ke bad jo kuchh bhi hai woh sadaqah hai.
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ، فَمَا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ" .
