Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 7918
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a villager presented a young camel as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him six young camels in return, but he was still unhappy. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to know of this, he praised and glorified Allah and said, "So-and-so gave me a camel as a gift, although it was my camel and I used to recognize it as I recognize one of my family members. It had gone astray from me on the day of the Battle of Zughbat (but still I accepted it) and gave him six young camels in return, but he is still unhappy. So, I have decided that I will not accept a gift from anyone in the future except from the Quraysh, the Ansar, the Thaqif or the دوس."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک دیہاتی نے نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں ایک جوان اونٹ کا ہدیہ پیش کیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے چھ جوان اونٹ عطا فرمائے لیکن وہ اس پر بھی ناخوش رہا نبی کریم ﷺ کو جب معلوم ہوا تو اللہ کی حمد وثناء بیان کرنے کے بعد فرمایا کہ فلاں آدمی نے مجھے اونٹ ہدیہ کے طور پر دیا حالانکہ وہ میرا ہی اونٹ تھا اور میں اسے اسی طرح پہنچاتا تھا جیسے اپنے کسی گھر والے کو پہچانتا ہوں یوم زغابات کے موقع پر وہ میرے ہاتھ سے نکل گیا تھا (لیکن پھر بھی میں نے اسے قبول کرلیا) اور اسے چھ جوان اونٹ دیئے تاہم وہ اس پر بھی ناخوش ہے میں تو یہ ارادہ کر رہا ہوں کہ آئندہ کسی شخص سے ہدیہ قبول نہ کروں سوائے اس کے جو قریش یا انصار یا ثقیف یا دوس سے تعلق رکھتا ہو۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki aik dehati ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein aik jawan unt ka hadiya pesh kiya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne usay chhe jawan unt ata farmaye lekin wo us par bhi nakhush raha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko jab malum hua to Allah ki hamd o sana bayan karne ke bad farmaya ki falan aadmi ne mujhe unt hadiya ke tor par diya halanki wo mera hi unt tha aur mein usay isi tarah pahunchata tha jaise apne kisi ghar wale ko pahchanta hun Yaum Zaghabat ke mauqa par wo mere hath se nikal gaya tha lekin phir bhi mein ne usay qubool karliya aur usay chhe jawan unt diye taham wo us par bhi nakhush hai mein to ye irada kar raha hun ki aayinda kisi shakhs se hadiya qubool na karoon siwaye uske jo Quresh ya Ansar ya Thaqif ya Doss se talluq rakhta ho.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَكْرَةً، فَعَوَّضَهُ منها سِتَّ بَكَرَاتٍ، فَتَسَخَّطَهُ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" إِنَّ فُلَانًا أَهْدَى إِلَيَّ نَاقَةً، وَهِيَ نَاقَتِي، أَعْرِفُهَا كَمَا أَعْرِفُ بَعْضَ أَهْلِي، ذَهَبَتْ مِنِّي يَوْمَ زَغَابَاتٍ، فَعَوَّضْتُهُ سِتَّ بَكَرَاتٍ، فَظَلَّ سَاخِطًا، لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ لَا أَقْبَلَ هَدِيَّةً إِلَّا مِنْ قُرَشِيٍّ، أَوْ أَنْصَارِيٍّ، أَوْ ثَقَفِيٍّ، أَوْ دَوْسِيٍّ" .
