Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8061
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying, “He who separates himself from obedience (to the Amir) and separates from the Jama’ah (main body of the Muslims) and then dies in that state, his death is a death of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance). And he who rebels against my Ummah (nation) and fights against the good and the bad amongst them, and does not respect the believing ones and does not fulfill the rights of those who have been granted a covenant, he is not from me. And he who fights under the banner of blind nationalism or tribalism, or supports others in the fit of anger or to fan the flames of his own prejudice and is killed in this state, his death is a death of Jahiliyyah.”

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ جو شخص امیر کی اطاعت سے نکل گیا اور جماعت کو چھوڑ گیا اور اسی حال میں مرگیا تو اس کی موت جاہلیت کی موت ہوئی اور جو شخص میری امت پر خروج کرے نیک و بدسب کو مارے مومن سے حیاء کرے اور عہد والے سے عہد پورا نہ کرے وہ میرا امتی نہیں ہے اور جو شخص کسی جھنڈے کے نیچے بےمقصد لڑتا ہے (قومی یا لسانی) تعصب کی بناء پر غصہ کا اظہار کرتا ہے اسی کی خاطر لڑتا ہے اور اسی کے پیش نظر مدد کرتا ہے اور مارا جاتا ہے تو اس کا مرنا بھی جاہلیت کے مرنے کی طرح ہوا۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko yeh farmate huye suna hai ki jo shakhs ameer ki itaat se nikal gaya aur jamaat ko chhor gaya aur isi hal mein mar gaya to uski maut jahiliyat ki maut hui aur jo shakhs meri ummat par khurooj karey naik o bad sab ko marey momin se haya karey aur ahd waley se ahd pora na karey woh mera ummati nahin hai aur jo shakhs kisi jhandey ke neechay be maqsad larta hai (qaumi ya lisani) taasub ki bina par ghussa ka izhaar karta hai usi ki khatir larta hai aur usi ke pesh nazar madad karta hai aur mara jata hai to uska marna bhi jahiliyat ke marne ki tarah hua.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ فَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ، وَخَرَجَ مِنَ الطَّاعَةِ، فَمَاتَ، فَمِيتَتُهُ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ، وَمَنْ خَرَجَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي بِسَيْفِهِ، يَضْرِبُ بَرَّهَا وَفَاجِرَهَا، لَا يُحَاشِي مُؤْمِنًا لِإِيمَانِهِ، وَلَا يَفِي لِذِي عَهْدٍ بِعَهْدِهِ، فَلَيْسَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي، وَمَنْ قُتِلَ تَحْتَ رَايَةٍ عِمِّيَّةٍ، يَغْضَبُ لِلْعَصَبِيَّةِ، أَوْ يُقَاتِلُ لِلْعَصَبِيَّةِ، أَوْ يَدْعُو إِلَى الْعَصَبِيَّةِ، فَقِتْلَةٌ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ" .
