Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8260
Once, Marwan bin Hakam asked Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), "Did you ever pray the Prayer of Fear with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" He replied, "Yes!" Marwan asked, "When?" He said, "In the year of the Battle of Najd, and it was like this: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up for the Asr prayer. One group stood behind him, and the other faced the enemy, their backs to the Qibla. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said the Takbir, and everyone who was with him in prayer, or fighting the enemy, said the Takbir. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) bowed, and the group behind him bowed too. Then he prostrated, and the group behind him prostrated too, while the other group remained standing, facing the enemy. "Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up, and the group with him also stood up. They went to fight the enemy, and the group that was fighting the enemy came over. They first bowed and prostrated, while the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) remained standing. When they stood up, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led them in the second Rak'ah, and they bowed and prostrated with him. Then the group facing the enemy also came and performed their first Rak'ah of bowing and prostration, while the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the other worshippers remained seated. Then the Salam was said. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said the Salam, everyone said the Salam together. In this way, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) completed his two Rak'ahs, and each group also completed their two Rak'ahs."

ایک مرتبہ مروان بن حکم نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ کیا آپ نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ نماز خوف پڑھی ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا ہاں! مروان نے پوچھا کب؟ انہوں نے فرمایا غزوہ نجد کے سال اور وہ اس طرح کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نماز عصر کے لئے کھڑے ہوئے ایک گروہ آپ ﷺ کے پیچھے کھڑا ہوگیا اور دوسرا دشمن کے مد مقابل جس کی پشت قبلہ کی طرف تھی نبی کریم ﷺ نے تکبیر کہی اور سب لوگوں نے جو نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ نماز میں شریک تھے یا دشمن سے قتال کر رہے تھے۔ تکبیر کہی پھر نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک رکوع کیا پیچھے والے گروہ نے بھی رکوع کیا پھر سجدہ کیا تو پیچھے والے گروہ نے بھی سجدہ کیا دوسرا گروہ دشمن کے سامنے کھڑا رہا۔ پھر نبی کریم ﷺ کھڑے ہوئے اور ساتھ والا گروہ بھی کھڑا ہوگیا یہ لوگ دشمن سے جا کر لڑنے لگے اور دشمن کے مد مقابل جو گروہ لڑ رہا تھا وہ یہاں آگیا انہوں نے سب سے پہلے رکوع سجدہ کیا اور نبی کریم ﷺ کھڑے رہے جب وہ کھڑے ہوئے تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں دوسری رکعت پڑھائی اور انہوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ رکوع سجدہ کیا پھر دشمن کا مد مقابل گروہ بھی آگیا اور اس نے پہلے رکوع سجدہ کیا نبی کریم ﷺ اور دیگر مقتدی بیٹھے رہے پھر سلام پھیر دیا گیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے سلام پھیرا تو سب نے اکٹھے ہی سلام پھیر دیا اس طرح نبی کریم ﷺ کی بھی دو رکعتیں ہوئیں اور ہر گروہ کی بھی دو دو رکعتیں ہوئیں۔
Ek martaba Marwan bin Hakam ne Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se poocha keh kya aap ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Namaz Khauf parhi hai? Unhon ne farmaya haan! Marwan ne poocha kab? Unhon ne farmaya Ghazwa Najd ke saal aur wo is tarah keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Namaz Asr ke liye kharay huye ek giroh aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche khara hogaya aur doosra dushman ke mud muqabil jis ki pusht qibla ki taraf thi. Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne takbeer kahi aur sab logon ne jo Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Namaz mein sharik thay ya dushman se qatal kar rahay thay. Takbeer kahi phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek ruku kia peeche walay giroh ne bhi ruku kia phir Sajdah kia to peeche walay giroh ne bhi Sajdah kia doosra giroh dushman ke samne khara raha. Phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kharay huye aur sath wala giroh bhi khara hogaya ye log dushman se ja kar larne lage aur dushman ke mud muqabil jo giroh lar raha tha wo yahan aagaya unhon ne sab se pehle ruku Sajdah kia aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kharay rahe. Jab wo kharay huye to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen doosri rakat parhayi aur unhon ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath ruku Sajdah kia phir dushman ka mud muqabil giroh bhi aagaya aur usne pehle ruku Sajdah kia Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aur deegar muqtadi baithe rahe phir salaam phir diya gaya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne salaam phera to sab ne ikatthey hi salaam phir diya. Is tarah Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki bhi do rakaten huyi aur har giroh ki bhi do do rakaten huyi.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، وابن لهيعة ، قالا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو اْْلَأسْوَدِ يَتِيمُ عُرْوَةَ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَة هَلْ صَلَّيْتَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلاةَ الْخَوْف؟ فَقَالَ: أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : نَعَمْ، فَقَالَ: مَتَى؟ قَالَ: عَامَ غَزْوَةِ نَجْدٍ، " قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِصَلاةِ الْعَصْرِ، وَقَامَتْ مَعَهُ طَائِفَةٌ، وَطَائِفَةٌ أُخْرَى مُقَابِلَةَ الْعَدُوِّ ظُهُورُهُمْ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ، فَكَبَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَبَّرُوا جَمِيعًا الَّذِينَ مَعَهُ وَالَّذِينَ يُقَابِلُونَ الْعَدُوَّ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَةً وَاحِدَةً، ثُمَّ رَكَعَتْ مَعَهُ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي تَلِيهِ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، وَسَجَدَتْ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي تَلِيهِ، وَالآخَرُونَ قِيَامٌ مُقَابِلَةَ الْعَدُوّ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقَامَتْ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي مَعَهُ، فَذَهَبُوا إِلَى الْعَدُوِّ فَقَابَلُوهُمْ، وَأَقْبَلَتْ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي كَانَتْ مُقَابِلَةَ الْعَدُوِّ، فَرَكَعُوا وَسَجَدُوا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَائِمٌ كَمَا هُوَ، ثُمَّ قَامُوا، فَرَكَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَةً أُخْرَى، وَرَكَعُوا مَعَهُ، وَسَجَدُوا مَعَهُ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَتْ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي كَانَتْ تُقَابِلُ الْعَدُوَّ فَرَكَعُوا وَسَجَدُوا، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاعِدٌ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُ، ثُمَّ كَانَ التَّسْلِيمُ، فَسَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَلَّمُوا جَمِيعًا، فَكَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَتَانِ، وَلِكُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَانِ رَكْعَتَانِ" .
