Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8305
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The martyrs are of five kinds: the one who dies of plague is a martyr, the one who dies of a stomach disease is a martyr, the one who drowns is a martyr, the one who dies in a building collapse is a martyr, and the one who is killed in the way of Allah is a martyr."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا شہداء پانچ طرح کے لوگ ہیں طاعون میں مبتلا ہو کر مرنا بھی شہادت ہے پیٹ کی بیماری میں مرنا بھی شہادت ہے دریا میں غرق ہو کر مرنا بھی شہادت ہے گر کر مرنا بھی شہادت ہے جہاد فی سبیل اللہ میں مارا جانا بھی شہادت ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya shahada panch tarah ke log hain taun mein mubtala ho kar marna bhi shahadat hai pet ki bimari mein marna bhi shahadat hai darya mein gharq ho kar marna bhi shahadat hai gir kar marna bhi shahadat hai jihad fi sabilillah mein mara jana bhi shahadat hai.
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " الشُّهَدَاءُ خَمْسَةٌ: الْمَطْعُونُ، وَالْمَبْطُونُ، وَالْغَرِقُ، وَصَاحِبُ الْهَدْم، وَالشَّهِيدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ" .
