Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8523
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The angels take turns at the doors of the mosques on Friday, writing down the names of those who come to the mosque in order. The first to come is so and so, then so and so. When the imam comes out (to deliver the Khutbah), they roll up their scrolls and they listen to the remembrance (of Allah)." Another narration adds: "They (the angels) continue to write down whoever comes after that, (saying) 'He only caught up with this much of the prayer, he only caught up with this much of the prayer, he only caught up with this much of the prayer' until the imam finishes his Khutbah. Whoever comes when the imam is delivering the Khutbah, he only catches the prayer (and not the reward of Jumu'ah, unless he prays what he missed of the Sunnah prayer before the Jumu'ah prayer)."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: جمعہ کے دن مسجد کے دروازے پر فرشتے لوگوں کے مراتب لکھتے ہیں کہ فلاں آدمی فلاں وقت آیا فلاں آدمی فلاں وقت آیا فلاں آدمی اس وقت آیا جب امام خطبہ دے رہا تھا فلاں آدمی آیا تو اسے صرف نماز ملی اور جمعہ نہیں ملا یہ اس وقت لکھتے ہیں جبکہ کسی کو خطبہ نہ ملا ہو۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Juma ke din masjid ke darwaze par farishte logon ke maratib likhte hain ke falan aadmi falan waqt aaya falan aadmi falan waqt aaya falan aadmi us waqt aaya jab imam khutba de raha tha falan aadmi aaya to use sirf namaz mili aur juma nahi mila yeh us waqt likhte hain jabke kisi ko khutba na mila ho.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْمَسَاجِدِ يَكْتُبُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ جَاءَ فُلَانٌ مِنْ سَاعَةِ كَذَا، جَاءَ فُلَانٌ مِنْ سَاعَةِ كَذَا، جَاءَ فُلَانٌ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ، جَاءَ فُلَانٌ فَأَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَمْ يُدْرِكْ الْجُمُعَةَ، إِذَا لَمْ يُدْرِكْ الْخُطْبَةَ" .
