Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8754
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Drought is not the absence of rain; rather, drought is when it rains abundantly from the sky, but the earth fails to yield produce."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا قحط سالی یہ نہیں ہے کہ بارشیں نہ ہوں قحط سالی یہ ہے کہ آسمان سے بارشیں تو خوب برسیں لیکن زمین سے پیداوار نہ نکلے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya qaht sali yeh nahin hai keh barishen na hon qaht sali yeh hai keh aasman se barishen to khoob barsen lekin zameen se paidaawar na nikle.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ , عن أبيه ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " لَيْسَ السَّنَةُ أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ مَطَرٌ، وَلَكِنَّ السَّنَةَ أَنْ تُمْطِرَ السَّمَاءُ وَلَا تُنْبِتُ الْأَرْضُ" .
