Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9043
It is narrated in the previous Hadith that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When the Imam is delivering the Friday sermon and you talk to your companion, then you have done a vain act and rendered it useless.

گزشتہ سند ہی سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا امام جس وقت جمعہ کا خطبہ دے رہا ہو اور تم اپنے ساتھی سے بات کرو تو تم نے لغو کام کیا اور اسے بیکار کردیا۔
Guzishta sanad hi se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Imam jis waqt jumma ka khutba de raha ho aur tum apne sathi se baat karo to tum ne laghv kaam kya aur usay bekaar kardiya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ: " إِذَا تَكَلَّمْتَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ، وَأَلْغَيْتَ" .
