Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9432
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, " Dawood (David) (peace be upon him) was a man of great jealousy. When he went out of his house, the doors of his house would be closed and no one could go to his family until he returned. One day, as usual, he left his house and the doors were closed. His wife looked into the house and saw a man standing in the middle of the house. She asked the people in the house, 'How did this man enter the house when the door is closed? By Allah! You will embarrass me before Dawood.' After a while, Dawood (peace be upon him) returned and saw a man standing in the middle of the house. He asked him, 'Who are you?' He said, 'I am the one who is not afraid of kings and nothing can stop me.' Dawood (peace be upon him) said, 'By Allah! You are the Angel of Death.' He welcomed the decree of Allah and lay down on the ground where his soul was seized and the angel finished his work. When the sun rose, Sulaiman (Solomon) (peace be upon him) commanded the birds to shade Dawood (peace be upon him), so the birds shaded him. Then, when darkness fell on the earth, Sulaiman (peace be upon him) said to the birds, 'Each of you should hold on to a part of his shroud.' Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) practically showed us the condition of the birds and closed his hand. That day, the long-winged hawk prevailed."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا حضرت داؤدعلیہ السلام میں غیرت کا مادہ بہت زیادہ تھا وہ جب گھر سے باہر جاتے تو ان کے گھر کے دروازے بند کر دئیے جاتے اور ان کی واپسی تک ان کے اہل خانہ کے پاس کوئی بھی نہ جاسکتا تھا، ایک دن حسب معمول اور اپنے گھر سے نکلے اور دورازے بند ہوگئے تو ان کی اہلیہ نے گھر میں جھانک کر دیکھا، وہاں وسط گھر میں ایک آدمی کھڑا ہوا دکھائی دیا، انہوں نے گھر میں موجود لوگوں سے پوچھا کہ گھر کا دروازہ تو بند ہے یہ آدمی گھر میں کیسے داخل ہوگیا؟ بخدا! تم داؤد کے سامنے شرمندہ کرواؤ گے۔ تھوڑی دیر بعد حضرت داؤدعلیہ السلام واپس آئے تو دیکھا کہ گھر کے عین بیچ میں ایک آدمی کھڑا ہے، انہوں نے اس سے پوچھا کہ تم کون ہو؟ اس نے کہا کہ میں وہ ہوں جو بادشاہوں سے نہیں ڈرتا اور کوئی چیز مجھے روک نہیں سکتی، حضرت داؤد علیہ السلام نے فرمایا بخدا! تم ملک الموت ہو حکم الٰہی کو خوش آمدید اور مٹی پر لیٹ گئے جہاں ان کی روح قبض ہوگئی اور فرشتہ اپنے کام سے فارغ ہوگیا۔ جب سورج طلوع ہوا تو حضرت سلیمان علیہ السلام نے پرندوں کو حکم دیا کہ حضرت داؤدعلیہ السلام پر سایا کریں، چنانچہ پرندوں نے ان پر سایا کرلیا، پھر جب زمین پر تاریکی چھا گئی تو حضرت سلیمان علیہ السلام نے پرندوں سے فرمایا ایک ایک پر کو سمیٹو، حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ہمیں پرندوں کی کیفیت عملی طور پر دکھائی اور اپنا ہاتھ بند کرلیا، اس دن لمبے پروں والا شکرہ غالب آگیا تھا۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Hazrat Dawood Alaihissalam mein ghairat ka madah bahut zyada tha woh jab ghar se bahar jate to un ke ghar ke darwaze band kar diye jate aur un ki wapsi tak un ke ahal khana ke pass koi bhi nah ja sakta tha, ek din hasb mamul apne ghar se nikle aur darwaze band ho gaye to un ki ahliya ne ghar mein jhank kar dekha, wahan wast ghar mein ek aadmi khara hua dikhayi diya, unhon ne ghar mein mojood logon se poocha ke ghar ka darwaza to band hai ye aadmi ghar mein kaise dakhil hua? Bakhuda! tum Dawood ke samne sharminda karwao ge. Thori der baad Hazrat Dawood Alaihissalam wapis aye to dekha ke ghar ke ain beech mein ek aadmi khara hai, unhon ne us se poocha ke tum kaun ho? us ne kaha ke mein woh hun jo badshahon se nahin darta aur koi cheez mujhe rok nahin sakti, Hazrat Dawood Alaihissalam ne farmaya Bakhuda! tum malik-ul-maut ho hukm ilahi ko khush aamdeed aur mitti par lait gaye jahan un ki rooh qabz ho gayi aur firishta apne kaam se farigh ho gaya. Jab Suraj طلوع hua to Hazrat Sulaiman Alaihissalam ne parindon ko hukm diya ke Hazrat Dawood Alaihissalam par saya karen, chunancha parindon ne un par saya kar liya, phir jab zameen par tariki chha gayi to Hazrat Sulaiman Alaihissalam ne parindon se farmaya ek ek par ko sameto, Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hamein parindon ki kefiyat amli taur par dikhayi aur apna hath band kar liya, us din lambe paron wala Shakra ghalib aa gaya tha.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي الْقَارِيَّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " كَانَ دَاوُدُ النَّبِيُّ فِيهِ غَيْرَةٌ شَدِيدَةٌ، وَكَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ أُغْلِقَتْ الْأَبْوَابُ، فَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ أَحَدٌ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ، قَالَ: فَخَرَجَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَأُغْلِقَتِ الدَّارُ، فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ تَطَّلِعُ إِلَى الدَّارِ، فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ قَائِمٌ وَسَطَ الدَّارِ، فَقَالَتْ لِمَنْ فِي الْبَيْتِ: مِنْ أَيْنَ دَخَلَ هَذَا الرَّجُلُ الدَّارَ، وَالدَّارُ مُغْلَقَةٌ؟، وَاللَّهِ لَتُفْتَضَحُنَّ بِدَاوُدَ، فَجَاءَ دَاوُدُ، فَإِذَا الرَّجُلُ قَائِمٌ وَسَطَ الدَّارِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ دَاوُدُ: مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ: أَنَا الَّذِي لَا أَهَابُ الْمُلُوكَ، وَلَا يَمْتَنِعُ مِنِّي شَيْءٌ. فَقَالَ دَاوُدُ: أَنْتَ وَاللَّهِ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ فَمَرْحَبًا بِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ، فَرَمَلَ دَاوُدُ مَكَانَهُ حَيْثُ قُبِضَتْ رُوحُهُ حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنْ شَأْنِهِ , وَطَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ، فَقَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ لِلطَّيْرِ: أَظِلِّي عَلَى دَاوُدَ، فَأَظَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الطَّيْرُ حَتَّى أَظْلَمَتْ عَلَيْهِمَا الْأَرْضُ، فَقَالَ لَهَا سُلَيْمَانُ: اقْبِضِي جَنَاحًا جَنَاحًا" . قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: يُرِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَتِ الطَّيْرُ، وَقُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يده , وَغَلَبَتْ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَصْرَحِيَّةُ.
