Chapter on Tayammum for the Injured, Sick, or Wounded If Fearing Harm from Using Water or Severe Cold
باب الجريح والقريح والمجدور يتيمم إذا خاف التلف باستعمال الماء أو شدة الضنا.

Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said regarding the verse, "{And if you are ill, or on a journey}," that if a person suffers a wound, boil, or smallpox in the cause of Allah, and becomes sexually impure, and fears that if he performs ghusl (ritual bath), he will die, then he should perform tayammum (dry ablution).

(١٠٦٦) سیدنا ابن عباس (رض) اللہ تعالیٰ کے فرمان :{ وَإِنْ کُنْتُمْ مَرْضَی أَوْ عَلَی سَفَرٍ } کے بارے میں فرماتے ہیں کہ جب آدمی کو اللہ کے راستے میں زخم یا پھوڑا یا چیچک ہوتی ہے اور وہ جنبی ہوجاتا ہے اور ڈرتا ہے کہ اگر اس نے غسل کیا تو وہ مرجائے گا تو وہ تیمم کرلے۔ “
(1066) Saidna Ibn Abbas (RA) Allah ta'ala ke farman: { wa in kuntum marza aw 'ala safar } ke bare mein farmate hain ke jab aadmi ko Allah ke raste mein zakhm ya phoda ya chechak hoti hai aur wo junubi hojata hai aur darta hai ke agar usne ghusl kiya to wo mar jayega to wo tayammum karle.
Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said regarding a person who becomes sexually impure (junub) and has a wound, fearing that if he performs ghusl (ritual bath), he might die: He should perform tayammum (dry ablution) and offer his prayer.

(١٠٦٧) سیدنا ابن عباس (رض) اس شخص کے متعلق فرماتے ہیں جو جنبی ہوجاتا ہے اور اس کو زخم ہے۔ وہ ڈرتا ہے کہ اگر اس نے غسل کیا تو مرجائے گا وہ تیمم کرے اور نماز پڑھے۔
(1067) sydna ibn abbas (rz) is shakhs k mutaliq farmaty hain jo junubi hojta hai aur is ko zakhm hai wo darta hai k agar us ne ghusl kia to mar jaye ga wo tayammum kare aur namaz parhy
(1068) (a) Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said regarding a person with smallpox: He should perform tayammum.
(b) Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said regarding a person with smallpox and similar ailments: When he becomes junub (ritually impure), he should perform tayammum with dust.
(c) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a sick person has been given the concession to perform tayammum with dust.

(١٠٦٨) (الف) ابن عباس (رض) چیچک والے کے متعلق فرماتے ہیں : وہ تیمم کرئے گا۔
(ب) ابن عباس (رض) نے چیچک اور اس جیسے مریض کے متعلق فرماتے ہیں : جب وہ جنبی ہوجائے تو مٹی سے تیمم کرے گا۔
(ج) سیدنا ابن عباس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ مریض کو مٹی سے تیمم کرنے میں رخصت دی گئی ہے۔
(1068) (alif) Ibn Abbas (rz) chechak wale ke mutalliq farmate hain : woh tayammum kare ga.
(be) Ibn Abbas (rz) ne chechak aur is jaise mareed ke mutalliq farmate hain : jab woh junubi ho jaye to mitti se tayammum kare ga.
(jeem) Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (rz) se riwayat hai ki mareed ko mitti se tayammum karne mein rukhsat di gayi hai.
