Narrated Aisha (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Miswak (tooth-stick) is a purifier for the mouth and a way of pleasing the Lord."

(١٣٦) حضرت عائشہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” مسواک منہ کی صفائی کا ذریعہ اور رب کی رضا مندی کا سبب ہے۔
Hazrat Ayesha (RA) se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: "Miswak munh ki safai ka zariya aur Rab ki raza mandi ka sabab hai."
(137) The author has mentioned it in the same way as the aforementioned tradition, but these words are extra: that they heard from the respected wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she states.
(B) Sheikh (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Ibn Abi Atiq is Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Atiq was the nickname of Muhammad.

(١٣٧) مسعر نے مذکورہ روایت کی طرح ہی ذکر کیا ہے مگر یہ الفاظ زائد ہیں کہ انھوں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی زوجہ محترمہ سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے سنا وہ فرماتی ہیں۔
(ب) شیخ (رح) کہتے ہیں کہ ابن ابی عتیق عبداللہ بن محمد بن عبدالرحمن بن ابوبکر صدیق (رض) ہیں اور ابو عتیق محمد کی کنیت ہے۔
137 Misar ne mazkora riwayat ki tarah hi zikar kiya hai magar ye alfaz zaid hain ke unhon ne Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki zojah mohtarma Sayyida Ayesha (ra) se suna woh farmati hain. b Sheikh (rh) kahte hain ke Ibn Abi Atiq Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abdurrahman bin Abubakar Sadiq (ra) hain aur Abu Atiq Muhammad ki kunniyat hai.
'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi 'Atiq said that he heard from his father, who heard from Sayyidah 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Miswak (tooth-stick) purifies the mouth and pleases the Lord."
'Abdur-Rahman is the son of 'Abdullah bin Abi 'Atiq. Yazid attributed him to his grandfather. One narration suggests that 'Abdur-Rahman narrated from Qasim bin Muhammad, as if he had heard it from both of them.

(١٣٨) عبد الرحمن بن ابی عتیق کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے اپنے والد سے سنا، انھوں نے سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے سنا کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” مسواک منہ کی صفائی کا سبب اور رب کی رضا مندی کا ذریعہ ہے۔ “
عبدالرحمن ابن عبداللہ بن ابی عتیق ہیں۔ یزید نے ان کی نسبت دادا کی طرف کی ہے۔ ایک قول یہ ہے کہ عبدالرحمن نے قاسم بن محمد سے بیان کیا ہے گویا اس نے دونوں سے سنا ہے۔
Abdur Rahman bin Abi Atiq kehte hain ki maine apne wald se suna, unhon ne Sayyidah Ayesha (RA) se suna ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: “Miswak munh ki safai ka sabab aur Rab ki raza mandi ka zariya hai."
Abdur Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Atiq hain. Yazid ne unki nisbat dada ki taraf ki hai. Ek qaul ye hai ki Abdur Rahman ne Qasim bin Muhammad se bayan kiya hai goya usne dono se suna hai.
(139) Narrated 'Aisha (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The Miswak (tooth-stick) cleanses and purifies the mouth and pleases the Lord."

(١٣٩) ام المؤمنین سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” مسواک منہ کی صفائی کا سبب اور رب کی رضا مندی کا ذریعہ ہے۔ “
(139) Umm ul momineen Sayyida Ayesha (RA) se riwayat hai keh Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya: "Miswak munh ki safai ka sabab aur Rab ki raza mandi ka zariya hai."
Narrated Aisha (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “The Miswak (tooth-stick) purifies the mouth and pleases the Lord.”

(١٤٠) ام المومنین سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” مسواک منہ کی صفائی کا سبب اور رب کی رضا مندی کا ذریعہ ہے۔ “

Muqaddam bin Shariah bin Hani narrates from his father that I asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would enter his house, what was the first thing he would do? Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: He would use the Miswak.

(١٤١) مقدام بن شریع بن ہانی اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے پوچھا : جب نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اپنے گھر میں داخل ہوتے تو کس چیز کے ساتھ ابتدا کرتے تھے ؟ سیدہ عائشہ (رض) کہتی ہیں : مسواک کے ساتھ۔
(141) Muqaddam bin Sharh bin Hani apne walid se naql farmate hain ki maine Sayyida Ayesha (ra) se poocha: Jab Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) apne ghar mein dakhil hote to kis cheez ke sath ibtida karte the? Sayyida Ayesha (ra) kehti hain: Miswak ke sath.
(142) (a) Ibn Abi Musa reported on the authority of his father that he went to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and found him brushing his teeth with his hand and the sound of 'Aa' 'Aa' was coming from his mouth. ('Aa' 'Aa' is the sound made while brushing the teeth) and the Miswak was in his (ﷺ) mouth as if he (ﷺ) was pronouncing it.
(b) Abu Musa (RA) said that he went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he (ﷺ) was brushing his teeth and one end of the Miswak was on his tongue.
(c) In one narration of Sahih Bukhari the wording is "U' U'".

(١٤٢) (الف) ابن ابی موسیٰ اپنے والد سے نقل کرتے ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آیا تو میں نے آپ کو اپنے ہاتھ کے ساتھ مسواک کرتے ہوئے پایا اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے منہ مبارک سے عَاْ عَاْ کی آواز آرہی تھی۔
(عَاْ عَاْ ) مسواک کرتے وقت جو آواز نکلتی ہے اور مسواک آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے منہ میں تھی گویا کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) آواز نکال رہے ہیں۔
(ب) ابو موسیٰ (رض) کہتے ہیں کہ میں نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) مسواک کر رہے تھے اور مسواک کا ایک کنارہ آپ کی زبان پر تھا۔
(ج) صحیح بخاری ایک حدیث میں اُعْ اُعْ کے الفاظ ہیں۔
(142) (alif) Ibne Abi Moosa apne wald se naqal karte hain ke mein Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas aaya to mein ne aap ko apne hath ke sath miswak karte hue paya aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke mun Mubarak se Aa Aa ki aawaz aa rahi thi
(Aa Aa) miswak karte waqt jo aawaz nikalti hai aur miswak aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke mun mein thi goya ke aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aawaz nikal rahe hain
(be) Abu Moosa (Razi Allahu Anhu) kehte hain ke mein Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas aaya to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) miswak kar rahe the aur miswak ka ek kinara aap ki zaban par tha
(jeem) Sahih Bukhari ek hadees mein Uu Uu ke alfaz hain
Tamimi narrated to me that I asked Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) about the Miswak, so he said: The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) always enjoined it, to the extent that we feared it might become obligatory.

(١٤٤) تمیمی سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے ابن عباس (رض) سے مسواک کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو انھوں نے فرمایا : نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہمیشہ اس کا حکم دیا کرتے تھے حتیٰ کہ ہم ڈر گئے کہ کہیں یہ فرض نہ ہوجائے۔
Tamimi se riwayat hai ke maine Ibn Abbas (RA) se miswak ke bare mein sawal kiya to unhon ne farmaya: Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) hamesha iska hukum diya karte the hatta ke hum dar gaye ke kahin ye farz na ho jaye.
