Aisha (RA) narrates that Quraysh and the followers of their religion used to stay at Muzdalifah, and they were called 'Hums', while all other Arabs used to stay at Arafah. When Islam came, Allah Almighty commanded His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to go to Arafah, stay there, and depart from there. This is the command of Allah Almighty: "Then depart from the place from where [all the] people depart."

(٩٤٥٠) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ قریش اور ان کے دین کے پیرو کار لوگ مزدلفہ میں ٹھہرتے تھے اور انھیں حمس کہا جاتا تھا اور باقی سارے اہل عرب عرفہ میں ٹھہرتے تھے ۔ جب اسلام آگیا تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو حکم دیا کہ وہ عرفات جائیں اور وہاں ٹھہریں اور وہیں سے نکلیں۔ یہی اللہ تعالیٰ کا فرمان ہے : پھر وہاں سے لوٹو جہاں سے لوگ لوٹتے ہیں۔
(9450) Syeda Ayesha (RA) farmati hain keh Quresh aur un ke deen ke peyro kar log Muzdalifah mein thehrtay thay aur unhein Humus kaha jata tha aur baqi saray ahle Arab Arafah mein thehrtay thay. Jab Islam aagaya to Allah Ta'ala ne apne Nabi (SAW) ko hukum diya keh woh Arafaat jayen aur wahan thehrein aur wahin se niklein. Yahi Allah Ta'ala ka farman hai: Phir wahan se lauto jahan se log lautay hain.
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Quraysh said: "We are the residents of the Kaaba, we will not leave the sanctuary." So Allah Almighty said: "Then return from where the people return."

(٩٤٥١) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ قریش کہتے تھے : ہم بیت اللہ کے باسی ہیں ، ہم حرم سے نہیں نکلیں گے تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا : پھر وہیں سے لوٹو جہاں سے لوگ لوٹتے ہیں۔
(9451) Sayyida Ayesha (RA) farmati hain keh Quraish kehte thay: Hum Baitullah ke basi hain, hum Haram se nahi niklenge to Allah Taala ne farmaya: Phir wahin se lauto jahan se log lautate hain.
Jabir bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that on the Day of Arafah, my camel got lost. So, I went out searching for it. I found the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) standing in Arafah, and I said, "By Allah, these people are from the tribe of Khams! How are they?"

(٩٤٥٢) جبیر بن مطعم (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ عرفہ کے دن میرا اونٹ گم ہوگیا تو میں اسے تلاش کرنے نکلا ۔ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو عرفہ میں کھڑے پایا تو میں نے کہا : یہ اللہ کی قسم حمس میں سے ہیں ، ان کا کیا حال ہے ؟
9452 Jubair bin Mut'im (RA) farmate hain ki Arafah ke din mera unt gum hogaya to main usay talaash karne nikla. Maine Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko Arafah mein kharay paya to maine kaha: Yeh Allah ki qasam Humas mein se hain, unka kya haal hai?
Amr bin Dinar narrated a similar hadith, but he said: These are from Hums, what happened to them. These have come out of the sanctuary.

(٩٤٥٣) عمرو بن دینار نے بھی اسی طرح کی حدیث بیان کی ہے ، لیکن انھوں نے کہا : یہ حمس میں سے ہیں تو ان کو کیا ہوا ۔ یہ حرم سے نکل آئے ہیں۔
(9453) Amr bin Dinar ne bhi isi tarah ki hadees bayaan ki hai, lekin unhon ne kaha: yeh Hums mein se hain to in ko kya hua. Yeh Haram se nikal aaye hain.
