Sulaiman bin Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from his father that Ma'iz bin Malik came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Purify me." He said: "Woe to you! Go back and seek forgiveness from Allah." He went a short distance and then came back and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Purify me." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Woe to you! Go back and seek forgiveness from Allah." He went a short distance and then came back and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Purify me." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said the same. When he came the fourth time, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "From what should I purify you?" He said: "From fornication." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "Is he insane?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was told that he is not insane. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "Did you drink alcohol?" A man stood up and tried to smell Ma'iz but did not smell anything. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "Are you married?" He said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered that he be stoned to death. Now the people were divided into two groups. Some were saying that Ma'iz was destroyed because of his evil deed. His sin has encompassed him. And some people were saying that no one's repentance could be better than the repentance of Ma'iz because he himself came and put his hand on the hand of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and then said that I should be stoned to death. The narrator said: Two or three days passed, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came. The Companions were sitting. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) greeted and sat down. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Seek forgiveness for Ma'iz." The Companions asked: "Has Allah forgiven Ma'iz?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "He has repented such a repentance that if it were to be divided among the Ummah, it would suffice them." Then a woman from the tribe of Azd was brought. She said: "O Messenger of Allah! Purify me." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Woe to you! Go back and seek forgiveness from Allah." She said: "You are sending me back just as you sent Ma'iz back." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "What is the matter with you?" She said: "I am pregnant because of fornication." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Are you married?" She said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "We will not stone you until you give birth." A man from the Ansar took responsibility for her, and when she gave birth, she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The man (who had taken responsibility for her) said: "The woman from Ghamid has given birth." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "We will not stone her until her child is weaned and there is no one to breastfeed him." A man from the Ansar stood up and said: "I will take responsibility for his breastfeeding." Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stoned her to death.

(١١٤٤٩) سلیمان بن بریدہ (رض) اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ ماعز بن مالک نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آئے اور کہا : یا رسول اللہ ! مجھے پاک کردیں، آپ نے کہا : خرابی ہو تیرے لیے لوٹ جا۔ اللہ سے توبہ استغفار کر۔ وہ تھوڑی دور جا کر پھر واپس پلٹ آئے۔ پھر کہا : یا رسول اللہ ! مجھے پاک کردیں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کہا : خرابی ہو تیرے لیے لوٹ جا، اللہ سے توبہ استغفار کر، وہ تھوڑی دور جا کر پھر واپس پلٹ آئے اور کہنے لگے : یا رسول اللہ ! مجھے پاک کردیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پھر اسی طرح کہا، جب چوتھی مرتبہ آئے تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا : کس چیز سے پاک کروں ؟ کہنے لگے : زنا سے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا : کیا یہ مجنون تو نہیں ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو بتایا گیا کہ وہ مجنون نہیں ہے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا : کیا تو نے شراب پی ہے، ایک آدمی کھڑا ہوا، اس نے ماعز سے بو سونگھنے کی کوشش کی۔ لیکن کچھ محسوس نہ کیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا : کیا تو شادی شدہ ہے ؟ اس نے کہا : ہاں یا رسول اللہ ! آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے حکم سے اسے قتل کردیا گیا۔ اب لوگوں کے دو گروہ بن گئے۔ کچھ یہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ ماعز ہلاک ہوگئے اپنے برے عمل کی وجہ سے۔ اس کو اس کی غلطی نے گھیر لیا ہے اور کچھ لوگکہہ رہے تھے : ماعز کی توبہ سے افضل کسی کی توبہ نہیں ہوسکتی۔ اس لیے کہ اس نے خود آکر اپنا ہاتھ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ہاتھ پر رکھ دیا، پھر کہا کہ مجھے پتھروں سے قتل کردیا جائے۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : دویا تین دن گزرے، نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) آئے۔ صحابہ بیٹھے ہوئے تھے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے سلام کہا پھر بیٹھ گے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کہا : ماعز کے لیے استغفار کرو، صحابہ نے پوچھا : ماعز کو اللہ نے معاف کردیا ہے ؟ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس نے ایسی توبہ کی ہے اگر امت کے درمیان تقسیم کردی جائے تو اس سے بھی وسیع ہے، پھر ازد قبیلے کی ایک عورت کو لایا گیا۔ اس نے کہا : یا رسول اللہ ! مجھے پاک کردیں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کہا : خرابی ہو تیرے لیے لوٹ جا۔ اللہ سے توبہ استغفار کر۔ وہ کہنے لگی : آپ مجھے اس طرح لوٹا رہے ہیں جس طرح ماعز کو لوٹاتے رہے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کہا : تیرا کیا معاملہ ہے ؟ اس نے کہا : زنا کی وجہ سے حاملہ ہوں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا تو شادی شدہ ہے ؟ کہنے لگی : ہاں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ہم تجھے اس وقت تک رجم نہیں کریں گے، یہاں تک کہ تیرا وضع حمل ہوجائے۔ انصار کے آدمی نے اس کی کفالت کا ذمہ لیا تو جب اس نے وضع کرلیا تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آئی۔ اس آدمی (کفیل ) نے کہا : غامدیۃ عورت نے بچہ جن دیا ہے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ہم اسے اس وقت تک رجم نہیں کریں گے جب تک اس کا بچہ چھوٹا ہے اور اس کو دودھ پلانے والا کوئی نہیں ہے۔ انصار کا ایک آدمی کھڑا ہوا۔ اس نے کہا : اس کی رضاعت کا میں ذمہ دار ہوں۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اسے رجم کردیا۔
11449 Sulaiman bin Buraidah raz apne walid se naql farmate hain ki Maaz bin Malik Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas aaye aur kaha: Ya Rasulullah! Mujhe paak kar den, aap ne kaha: Kharabi ho tere liye laut ja. Allah se tauba istighfar kar. Woh thori door ja kar phir wapas palat aaye. Phir kaha: Ya Rasulullah! Mujhe paak kar den, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kaha: Kharabi ho tere liye laut ja, Allah se tauba istighfar kar, woh thori door ja kar phir wapas palat aaye aur kehne lage: Ya Rasulullah! Mujhe paak kar den. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne phir isi tarah kaha, jab chauthi martaba aaye to Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne puchha: Kis cheez se paak karoon? Kehne lage: Zina se. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne puchha: Kya yeh majnoon to nahin? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko bataya gaya ki woh majnoon nahin hai. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne puchha: Kya tune sharaab pi hai, ek aadmi khara hua, usne Maaz se boo sunghne ki koshish ki. Lekin kuchh mehsoos na kia. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne puchha: Kya tu shadi shuda hai? Usne kaha: Haan Ya Rasulullah! Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hukm se use qatl kar dia gaya. Ab logon ke do giroh ban gaye. Kuchh yeh keh rahe the ki Maaz halaak ho gaye apne bure amal ki wajah se. Isko iski ghalti ne gher liya hai aur kuchh log keh rahe the: Maaz ki tauba se afzal kisi ki tauba nahin ho sakti. Isliye ki usne khud aakar apna hath Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hath par rakh dia, phir kaha ki mujhe pathron se qatl kar dia jaye. Rawi kehte hain: Do ya teen din guzre, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aaye. Sahaba baithe hue the. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne salaam kaha phir baith gaye. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kaha: Maaz ke liye istighfar karo, sahaba ne puchha: Maaz ko Allah ne maaf kar dia hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Usne aisi tauba ki hai agar ummat ke darmiyan taqseem kar di jaye to us se bhi wasee hai, phir Azad qabile ki ek aurat ko laya gaya. Usne kaha: Ya Rasulullah! Mujhe paak kar den, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kaha: Kharabi ho tere liye laut ja. Allah se tauba istighfar kar. Woh kehne lagi: Aap mujhe is tarah lauta rahe hain jis tarah Maaz ko lautate rahe. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kaha: Tera kya mamla hai? Usne kaha: Zina ki wajah se hamil hun, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Kya tu shadi shuda hai? Kehne lagi: Haan aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Hum tujhe is waqt tak rajm nahin karenge, yahan tak ki tera wazah haml ho jaye. Ansar ke aadmi ne iski kafalat ka zimma liya to jab usne wazah kar liya to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas aai. Is aadmi kafeel ne kaha: Ghamediyah aurat ne bachcha jan dia hai. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Hum use is waqt tak rajm nahin karenge jab tak uska bachcha chhota hai aur isko doodh pilane wala koi nahin hai. Ansar ka ek aadmi khara hua. Usne kaha: Iski riwayat ka main zimmedar hun. Phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use rajm kar dia.
١١٤٤٩ -قَالَ:ثُمَّ جَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ غَامِدٍ مِنَ الْأَزْدِ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، طَهِّرْنِي،فَقَالَ:" وَيْحَكِ ارْجِعِي فَاسْتَغْفِرِي اللهَ وَتُوبِي إِلَيْهِ "،فَقَالَتْ:لَعَلَّكَ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَرُدَّنِي كَمَا رَدَدْتَ مَاعِزَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ؟فَقَالَ:" وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ "قَالَتْ: إِنِّي حُبْلَى مِنَ الزِّنَا،قَالَ:" أَثَيِّبٌ أَنْتِ؟ "قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ،قَالَ:" إِذًا لَا نَرْجُمُكِ حَتَّى تَضَعِي مَا فِي بَطْنِكِ "،قَالَ:وَكَفَلَهَا رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ حَتَّى وَضَعَتْ،فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:قَدْ وَضَعَتِ الْغَامِدِيَّةُ،قَالَ:" إِذًا لَا نَرْجُمُهَا وَنَدَعُ وَلَدَهَا صَغِيرًا لَيْسَ لَهُ مَنْ تُرْضِعُهُ "،فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ:إِلِيَّ إِرْضَاعُهُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، فَرَجَمَهَا رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْلَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ
