Chapter on People Congregating in a Place of Equal Status
باب اجتماع القوم في موضع هم فيه سواء

Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Let the people be led in prayer by the one among them who has memorized the most Quran. If they are equal in recitation, then the one who has the most knowledge of the Sunnah. If they are equal in knowledge of the Sunnah, then the one who emigrated first. If they are equal in emigration, then the oldest of them. And no man should lead another in prayer in his house or sit in his place of honor except with his permission."

(٥٢٨٥) ابو مسعود انصاری (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : قوم کی امامت وہ کرائے جو ان میں سے قرآن زیادہ پڑھا ہوا ہو۔ اگر وہ قرأت میں برابر ہوں تو جو سنت کو زیادہ جانتا ہو۔ اگر وہ سنت جاننے میں برابر ہوں تو جو ہجرت کے اعتبار سے مقدم ہو۔ اگر ہجرت میں بھی برابر ہوں تو عمر کے اعتبار سے جو بڑا ہو، اور کوئی آدمی کسی بادشاہ کی امامت نہ کروائے اور گھر میں اس کی عزت والی جگہ پر بھی نہ بیٹھے مگر اس کی اجازت سے۔
(5285) Abu Masood Ansari (RA) farmate hain ki Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Qaom ki imamat wo karaye jo un mein se Quran zyada parha hua ho. Agar wo qiraat mein barabar hon to jo sunnat ko zyada janta ho. Agar wo sunnat janane mein barabar hon to jo hijrat ke aitbaar se muqaddam ho. Agar hijrat mein bhi barabar hon to umar ke aitbaar se jo bada ho, aur koi aadmi kisi badshah ki imamat na karwaye aur ghar mein us ki izzat wali jagah par bhi na baithe magar us ki ijazat se.
Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Let the one among you who knows the Quran most lead the people in prayer. If they are equal in their knowledge of the Quran, then the one who migrated first. If they are equal in migration, then the one who has more understanding. If they are equal in understanding, then the older one. And let no man lead another in prayer in his domain of authority, nor sit in his place of honor in his house, except by his permission."

(٥٢٨٦) ابو مسعود انصاری (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : قوم کی امامت وہ کروائے جو قرآن کو زیادہ جانتا ہو۔ اگر وہ قرآن میں برابر ہوں تو جو ہجرت کے اعتبار سے مقدم ہو۔ اگر ہجرت میں برابر ہوں تو ان میں سے جو زیادہ سمجھدار ہو۔ اگر فقاہت میں برابر ہوں تو جو عمر میں بڑا ہو۔ کوئی بندہ کسی کی بادشاہی میں اس کی امامت نہ کروائے اور نہ ہی اس کے گھر اس کی عزت والی جگہ پر بیٹھے لیکن اس کی اجازت سے بیٹھ سکتا ہے۔
(5286) Abu Masood Ansari (RA) farmate hain ki Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Qaum ki imamat wo karwaye jo Quran ko zyada janta ho. Agar wo Quran mein barabar hon to jo hijrat ke aitbaar se muqaddam ho. Agar hijrat mein barabar hon to in mein se jo zyada samajhdaar ho. Agar fiqahat mein barabar hon to jo umar mein bara ho. Koi banda kisi ki badshahi mein us ki imamat na karwaye aur na hi us ke ghar us ki izzat wali jaga par baithe lekin us ki ijazat se baith sakta hai.
(5287) Abu Sa'eed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When there are three, one of them should lead the prayer, and the one who has memorized the most Quran has the most right to it."

(٥٢٨٧) ابو سعید خدری (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب تین ہوں تو ان میں سے ایک امامت کروائے اور امامت کا حق دار وہ ہے جو قرآن زیادہ پڑھا ہوا ہو۔
(5287) Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Jab teen hon to un mein se ek imamat karwaye aur imamat ka haqdaar wo hai jo Quran zyada parha hua ho.
Abu Sa'eed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When three people are on a journey, then one of them should lead the prayer. And the most deserving of them to lead the prayer is the one who has memorized the most Quran."

(٥٢٨٨) ابو سعید خدری (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب تین آدمی سفر میں ہوں تو ایک ان میں سے امامت کروائے اور ان میں امامت کا حق دار وہ ہے جو قرآن زیادہ پڑھا ہوا ہے۔
(5288) Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Jab teen aadmi safar mein hon to ek in mein se imamat karwaye aur in mein imamat ka haqdaar wo hai jo Quran zyada parha hua hai.
