Chapter: Dislike of Abandoning Shortening and Wiping Over the Socks, and Taking Concessions as an Aversion to the Sunnah

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 5414
Narrated Masruq, that Aisha (RA) said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did a certain act and made it permissible. Then, when the Prophet (PBUH) found out that the people disliked it and avoided it, he said: "What is wrong with the people that when I command them with something in which I have given them a choice, they dislike it and avoid it? By Allah, I know Allah better than they do, and I fear Allah more than they do".

(٥٤١٤) مسروق سے روایت ہے کہ عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک کام کیا اور اس میں رخصت دی، پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو لوگوں کے بارے میں پتہ چلا کہ وہ اس کو ناپسند کرتے ہیں اور بچتے ہیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : لوگوں کو کیا ہوا کہ ان کو میری طرف سے کوئی حکم پہنچتا ہے اور میں نے اس میں رخصت دی ہے اور وہ اسے ناپسند کرتے ہیں اور بچتے ہیں اللہ کی قسم ! میں اللہ کو ان سے زیادہ جانتا ہوں اور میں اللہ سے بہت زیادہ ڈرتا ہوں۔
(5414) Masrooq se riwayat hai ki Ayesha (RA) farmati hain ki Rasool Allah (SAW) ne ek kaam kia aur usme rukhsat di phir aap (SAW) ko logon ke bare mein pata chala ki woh usko napasand karte hain aur bachtay hain aap (SAW) ne farmaya: Logon ko kya hua ki unko meri taraf se koi hukum pahunchta hai aur maine usme rukhsat di hai aur woh usey napasand karte hain aur bachtay hain Allah ki qasam! main Allah ko unse ziada janta hoon aur main Allah se bahut ziada darta hoon.
Nafi' (RA) narrates from Ibn Umar (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Verily Allah loves that His concessions be availed of just as He loves that His obligations be fulfilled."

(٥٤١٥) نافع ابن عمر (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ پسند فرماتے ہیں کہ اس کی رخصتوں کو قبول کیا جائے جیسے اس کے فرائض کو لیا جاتا ہے ، یعنی عمل کیا جاتا ہے۔
(5415) Nafi ibn Umar (RA) se naqal farmate hain ke Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : Allah pasand farmate hain ke uski rukhston ko qubool kiya jaye jaise uske faraiz ko liya jata hai, yani amal kiya jata hai.
(5416) (a) It is narrated from Nafi' ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "His permissions should be accepted just as his disobedience is disliked."
(b) 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Just as He likes that His obligations be fulfilled."

(٥٤١٦) (الف) نافع ابن عمر (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کی رخصتوں کو قبول کیا جائے جیسے اس کی نافرمانی کو ناپسند کیا جاتا ہے۔
(ب) عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) کا قول ہے کہ جیسے وہ پسند فرماتا ہے کہ اس کے فرائض کو ادا کیا جائے۔
(5416) (alif) Nafi ibn Umar (RA) se naql farmate hain ki Rasool Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : is ki rukhson ko qubool kya jaye jaise is ki nafarmani ko napasand kya jata hai.
(be) Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) ka qaul hai ki jaise wo pasand farmata hai ki is ke faraiz ko ada kya jaye.
(5417) Safwan bin Mahriz said: I asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) about the prayer of the journey, so he said: It is two rak'ahs. Whoever contradicts the Sunnah has committed disbelief.

(٥٤١٧) صفوان بن محرز کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عمر (رض) سے سفر نماز کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو وہ فرمانے لگے : دو رکعات ہیں جس نے سنت کی خلاف ورزی کی، اس نے کفر کیا۔
(5417) Safwan bin Mahriz kehte hain ki maine Ibn Umar (RA) se safar namaz ke bare mein sawal kiya to wo farmane lage : do rakat hain jis ne sunnat ki khilaf warzi ki, us ne kufr kiya.
