Chapter on a Woman Who Recognizes the Time at the Beginning of the Prayer, Then Menstruates or Faints
باب المرأة تدرك من أول الوقت مقدار الصلاة ثم حاضت أو أغمي عليها
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1823
Narrated Muhammad: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Leave me (alone) as long as I leave you (alone). Those who were before you were destroyed because of their questions and their disagreeing with their Prophets. So, if I forbid you from doing something, then avoid it. And if I order you to do something, then do as much of it as you can.

(١٨٢٣) محمد سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : مجھ کو چھوڑ رکھو جب تک میں تمہیں چھوڑے رکھوں، تم میں سے پہلے لوگ اپنے نبیوں سے سوال اور اختلاف کرنے کی وجہ سے ہلاک ہوگئے اور جب میں تمہیں کسی چیز سے منع کر دوتو اس سے بچو اور جب کسی کام کا حکم دوں تو وہ کرو جتنی تم طاقت رکھتے ہو۔
(1823) Muhammad se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: mujhe chhor rakho jab tak main tumhen chhore rakhon, tum mein se pehle log apne nabiyon se sawal aur ikhtilaf karne ki wajah se halak hogaye aur jab main tumhen kisi cheez se mana kar dun to us se bacho aur jab kisi kaam ka hukum dun to woh karo jitni tum taqat rakhte ho.
(1824) It is narrated from Abu Jawza that Sayyidina Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) forbade women from missing the Isha prayer out of fear that they might begin menstruating. He was referring to delaying the Isha prayer.

(١٨٢٤) ابو جوزاء سے روایت ہے کہ سیدنا عمر بن خطاب (رض) نے عورتوں کو منع کیا کہ عشا کی نماز چھوڑ بیٹھیں اس ڈر سے کہ وہ حائضہ ہوجائیں گی۔ وہ عشا کی نماز مراد لے رہے تھے۔
(1824) Abu Joza se riwayat hai keh Sayyidna Umar bin Khattab (RA) ne auraton ko mana kya keh Isha ki namaz chhor baithen is dar se keh woh haizah ho jaen gi. Woh Isha ki namaz murad le rahe the.
It is a popular belief (from 1825) that if a woman is negligent in her prayers and misses them, and then begins her menstrual cycle, it becomes obligatory (Wajib) upon her to make up (Qaza) for those missed prayers.

(١٨٢٥) شعبی سے روایت ہے کہ جب کوئی عورت نماز میں کوتاہی کرے اس کو حیض آجائے تو اس پر نماز قضا کرنا واجب ہے۔
(1825) Shobai se riwayat hai ki jab koi aurat namaz mein kotahi kare us ko haiz aajae to us par namaz qaza karna wajib hai.
