(1860) (a) Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: I see that you like goats and villages, so when you are among your goats or in your villages, then call out the Adhan for prayer and raise your voice in the Adhan, for verily, the jinn, humans and whatever else hears the voice of the Mu'adhdhin will bear witness for him on the Day of Judgment. Abu Sa'id said: I heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
(b) Abdur Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Sa'sa'ah narrates from his father that Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said to them: Call out the Adhan for prayer and raise your voice, for they (meaning the jinn) cannot hear your low voice.

(١٨٦٠) (الف) سیدنا ابوسعید خدری (رض) فرماتے تھے کہ میں تجھ کو دیکھتا ہوں کہ تم بکریوں اور دیہات کو پسند کرتے ہو، لہٰذا جب تم اپنی بکریوں یا دیہات میں ہو تو نماز کے لیے اذان کہو اور اذان میں اپنی آواز کو بلند کرو، یقیناً موذن کی آواز کو جن، انسان اور جو چیز بھی سنتی ہے، وہ قیامت کے دن اس کی گواہی دیں گے۔
ابو سعید کہتے ہیں : میں نے یہ بات رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنی ہے۔
(ب) عبد الرحمن بن عبداللہ بن أبی صعصعہ اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ ابو سعید خدری (رض) نے ان سے کہا : تو نماز کے لیے اذان دے اور اپنی آواز کو بلند کر اس لیے کہ وہ آپ کی بلند آواز نہیں سن پاتے۔
(1860) (alif) Sayyidina Abu Saeed Khudri (raz) farmate thy ky main tum ko daikhta hun ky tum bakrion aur dehaat ko pasand karte ho, lihaza jab tum apni bakrion ya dehaat main ho to namaz ky liye azan kaho aur azan main apni aawaz ko buland karo, yaqeenan moazzin ki aawaz ko jinn, insaan aur jo cheez bhi sunti hai, wo qayamat ky din us ki gawahi dain ge.
Abu Saeed kahte hain : main ne ye baat Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suni hai.
(be) Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah bin Abi Sa'sa'a apne walid se naql farmate hain ky Abu Saeed Khudri (raz) ne un se kaha : to namaz ky liye azan do aur apni aawaz ko buland kar is liye ky wo aap ki buland aawaz nahi sun pate.
Abu Yahya narrated to me while I was performing Tawaf with him. He said that he heard from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The Mu'adhdhin (one who calls to prayer) is forgiven for the distance covered by his voice and every moist and dry thing bears witness for him. And the one who prays (in congregation) will have twenty-five good deeds written for him and will be granted forgiveness for (the sins committed) between the prayers."

(١٨٦١) شعبہ فرماتے ہیں اور وہ کوفہ کے لمبے مینار پر اذان دیتے تھے : مجھ کو ابو یحییٰ نے بیان کیا اور میں ان کے ساتھ چکر لگا رہا تھا (یعنی بیت اللہ کا طواف کررہا تھا) انھوں نے کہا میں نے ابوہریرہ (رض) سے سنا وہ کہتے تھے میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا میں نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے منہ سے سنا ہے کہ موذن کو اس کی آواز کی لمبائی کی مقدار معاف کردیا جاتا ہے اور ہر تر اور خشک چیز اس کے لیے گواہی دیتی ہے اور نماز میں حاضر ہونے والے کے لیے پچیس نیکیاں لکھ دیں جاتی ہیں اور ان (نمازوں) کے درمیان (کے گناہوں کے لیے) کفارہ ہوجاتا ہے۔
(1861) Shoba farmate hain aur wo Kufa ke lambe minar par azan dete the : mujh ko Abu Yahya ne bayan kya aur main un ke sath chakkar laga raha tha (yani Baitullah ka tawaf kar raha tha) unhon ne kaha maine Abu Huraira (RA) se suna wo kahte the maine Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suna maine aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke munh se suna hai ke moazin ko us ki awaz ki lambai ki miqdar maaf kar diya jata hai aur har tar aur khushk cheez us ke liye gawahi deti hai aur namaz mein hazir hone wale ke liye pachchis nekiyan likh di jati hain aur un (namazon) ke darmiyan (ke gunahon ke liye) kaffara ho jata hai.
Narrated Abu Mahdhurah (RA): When Umar (RA) came to Mecca, I pronounced the Adhan. Umar (RA) said to me, "O Abu Mahdhurah! Were you afraid that your voice would be strained by pronouncing it loudly?"

(١٨٦٢) سیدنا ابو محذورہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ جب سیدنا عمر (رض) مکہ آئے تو میں نے اذان دی، مجھ کو عمر (رض) نے فرمایا : اے ابو محذورہ ! کیا تو ڈر گیا کہ زور لگانے سے تیری آواز پھٹ جائے گی۔
(1862) Syedna Abu Mahzura (RA) se riwayat hai ki jab Syedna Umar (RA) Makkah aaye to maine azaan di, mujh ko Umar (RA) ne farmaya : aye Abu Mahzura! kya tu dar gaya ki zor lagane se teri aawaz phat jayegi.
