Uthman bin Abu Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Safwan bin Umayyah said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw me holding a bone with meat on it with my hand. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "O Safwan!" I said, "At your service, O Messenger of Allah!" He said, "Bring the meat closer to your mouth, for it is more enjoyable, delicious, and flavorful that way."

(١٤٦٢٥) عثمان بن ابو سلمان (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ صفوان بن امیہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مجھے دیکھا کہ میں نے اپنے ہاتھ سے ہڈی کا گوشت پکڑا ہوا تھا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اے صفوان ! میں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! حاضر ہوں۔ فرمایا : گوشت کو اپنے منہ کے قریب کرو؛ کیونکہ یہ بڑا، لذیذ اور مزے دار ہوتا ہے۔
14625 Usman bin Abu Salman (RA) farmate hain ki Safwan bin Umayya kahte hain ki Rasool Allah (SAW) ne mujhe dekha ki maine apne hath se haddi ka gosht pakra hua tha to aap (SAW) ne farmaya : Aye Safwan ! maine kaha : Aye Allah ke Rasool ! Hazir hun. Farmaya : Gosht ko apne munh ke qareeb karo; kyunki yeh bada, lazeez aur maze dar hota hai.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not cut meat with a knife, for that is the way of the Persians. Rather, eat it by gnawing on the bone, for that is more easily digestible."

(١٤٦٢٦) حضرت عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تم گوشت کو چھری سے نہ کاٹو کیونکہ یہ عجمیوں کی عادت ہے بلکہ ہڈی سے نوچ کر کھایا کرو کیونکہ یہ زیادہ زود ہضم ہوتا ہے۔
Hazrat Ayesha (Razi Allah Anha) farmati hain ke Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Tum gosht ko chhuri se na kato kyunki yeh ajmiyon ki aadat hai balkeh haddi se noch kar khaya karo kyunki yeh zyada zood hazam hota hai.
Amr bin Umayyah saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cutting and eating meat from the shoulder of a goat. When the call to prayer was given, he put down the meat and the knife. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed and did not perform ablution.
Note: This Hadith indicates cutting with a knife. If the previous Hadith is correct, then eating by tearing is more preferable.

(١٤٦٢٨) عمرو بن امیہ نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دیکھا کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) بکری کے شانے کا گوشت کاٹ کر کھا رہے تھے، جب نماز کے لیے اذان گئی تو گوشت اور چھری کو رکھ دیا۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پڑھی اور وضو نہ فرمایا۔
نوٹ : یہ حدیث چھری کے ساتھ کاٹنے پر دلالت کرتی ہے۔ اگر پہلے والی حدیث صحیح ہو تو نوچ کر کھانا زیادہ بہتر ہے۔
(14628) Amr bin Ummaya ne Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko dekha keh Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) bakri ke shane ka gosht kaat kar kha rahe the, jab namaz ke liye azan gai to gosht aur churi ko rakh diya. Phir Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne namaz parhi aur wuzu na farmaya.
Note: Yeh hadees churi ke sath kaatne par dalalat karti hai. Agar pehle wali hadees sahih ho to noch kar khana ziada behtar hai.
