Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a striped robe being sold in the market. He was a man who used to go to kings and receive things from them. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “O Messenger of Allah! I saw a striped robe with Atard (a fabric merchant).” If you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) buy it for delegations and Fridays, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “He wears silk in this world, who has no share in the Hereafter.” After that, striped garments were brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent one garment to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and the other to Usama (may Allah be pleased with him). The third was given to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Distribute it among your women." So Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came carrying that garment and said: "You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent this to me, even though what did you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say about Atard's garment?" You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I did not give it to you to wear. Rather, you should benefit from it.” And Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) went in his garment, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw, Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) realized that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not think well. He began to say: "O Messenger of Allah! You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent it and then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) are looking at me like this?” You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I did not give it to you to wear, but you should distribute it among your women so that they can make dupattas (scarves) out of it.”

(٦١١٠) ابن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر (رض) نے ایک دھاری دار جبہ بازار میں بکتادیکھا۔ وہ ایسا آدمی تھا جو بادشاہوں کے پاس جاتا تھا اور ان سے چیزیں حاصل کرتا تھا۔ حضرت عمر (رض) نے عرض کیا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! میں نے عطارد کے پاس ایک دھاری دار جبہ دیکھا ہے۔ اگر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اس کو وفود اور جمعہ کے لیے خرید لیں تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ریشم دنیا میں وہ پہنتا ہے جس کا آخرت میں کوئی حصہ نہیں۔ اس کے بعد نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس دھاری دار حلے لائے گئے تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک حلہ حضرت عمر (رض) کی طرف بھیج دیا اور دوسرا حضرت اسامہ (رض) کو بھیج دیا۔ تیسرا حضرت علی (رض) کو عطا کردیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اپنی عورتوں کے درمیان تقسیم کر دو تو حضرت عمر (رض) وہ حلہ اٹھائے ہوئے آئے اور عرض کیا کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے یہ میری طرف بھیج دیا حالانکہ عطارد کے حلہ کے بارے میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کیا فرمایا تھا ! آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : میں نے تجھے پہننے کے لیے نہیں دیا۔ بلکہ آپ اس سے نفع حاصل کریں اور اسامہ (رض) اپنے حلے میں چلے تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دیکھا، اسامہ (رض) پہچان گئے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اچھا نہیں جانا۔ کہنے لگے : اے اللہ کے رسول ! آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے بھیجا ہے پھر بھی آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) میری طرف اس طرح دیکھ رہے ہیں ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : میں نے تجھے پہننے کے لیے نہیں دیا بلکہ تو اپنی عورتوں کے درمیان اس کو تقسیم کر دے تاکہ وہ اس سے دوپٹہ بنالیں۔
(6110) Ibne Umar (RA) farmate hain ke Hazrat Umar (RA) ne ek dhari daar jiba bazaar mein bikta dekha. Woh aisa aadmi tha jo badshahon ke paas jata tha aur un se cheezein hasil karta tha. Hazrat Umar (RA) ne arz kiya : Aye Allah ke Rasool ! Mein ne Atarid ke paas ek dhari daar jiba dekha hai. Agar aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) is ko wufood aur jumma ke liye kharid len to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Resham duniya mein woh pehenta hai jis ka akhirat mein koi hissa nahin. Is ke baad Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas dhari daar hale laye gaye to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ek hala Hazrat Umar (RA) ki taraf bhej diya aur doosra Hazrat Usama (RA) ko bhej diya. Teesra Hazrat Ali (RA) ko ata kar diya. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Apni auraton ke darmiyan taqseem kar do to Hazrat Umar (RA) woh hala uthaye huye aaye aur arz kiya ke aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne yeh meri taraf bhej diya halanke Atarid ke hale ke bare mein aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne kya farmaya tha ! Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Mein ne tujhe pehenne ke liye nahin diya. Balke aap is se nafa hasil karen aur Usama (RA) apne hale mein chale to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne dekha, Usama (RA) pehchan gaye ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne achha nahin jana. Kehne lage : Aye Allah ke Rasool ! Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne bheja hai phir bhi aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) meri taraf is tarah dekh rahe hain ? Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Mein ne tujhe pehenne ke liye nahin diya balke tu apni auraton ke darmiyan is ko taqseem kar de taake woh is se dopatta bana len.
٦١١٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى،وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ النَّصْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَا:ثنا شَيْبَانُ، ثنا جَرِيرٌ هُوَ ابْنُ حَازِمٍ، ثنا نَافِعٌ،عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:" رَأَى عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عُطَارِدًا التَّمِيمِيَّ يُقِيمُ بِالسُّوقِ حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ، وَكَانَ رَجُلًا يَغْشَى الْمُلُوكَ وَيُصِيبُ مِنْهُمْ،فَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ:يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ عُطَارِدًا يُقِيمُ فِي السُّوقِ حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ، فَلَوِ اشْتَرَيْتَهَا فَلَبِسْتَهَا لِوفُودِ الْعَرَبِ إِذَا قَدِمُوا عَلَيْكَ،قَالَ:وَأَظُنُّهُ قَالَ: وَلَبِسْتَهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ،فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ". فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحُلَلٍ سِيَرَاءَ، فَبَعَثَ إِلَى عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِحُلَّةٍ، وَبَعَثَ إِلَى أُسَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِحُلَّةٍ، وَأَعْطَى عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ حُلَّةً،فَقَالَ لَهُ:"شَقِّقْهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ نِسَائِكَ" فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ بِحُلَّتِهِ يَحْمِلُهَا،فَقَالَ:يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ بَعَثْتَ إِلَيَّ بِهَذِهِ وَقَدْ قُلْتَ بِالْأَمْسِ فِي حُلَّةِ عُطَارِدٍ مَا قُلْتَ،قَالَ:"إِنِّي لَمْ أَبْعَثْ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَلْبَسَهَا، وَإِنَّمَا بَعَثْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتُصِيبَ بِهَا"، وَأَمَّا أُسَامَةُ فَرَاحَ فِي حُلَّتِهِ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَظَرًا عَرَفَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ أَنْكَرَ مَا صَنَعَ،فَقَالَ:يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ: مَا تَنْظُرُ إِلَيَّ وَأَنْتَ بَعَثْتَ إِلَيَّ بِهَا،فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"إِنِّي لَمْ أَبْعَثْ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَلْبَسَهَا، وَلَكِنْ بَعَثْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتُشَقِّقَهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ نِسَائِكَ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ بْنِ فَرُّوخَ
