Chapter: Permission to give ransom or similar in necessity

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 18826
(18826) Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave one person as ransom in exchange for two people.
(B) The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked for several prisoners in exchange for the woman whom Salamah bin Akwa' had given to him as a gift.

(١٨٨٢٦) حضرت عمران بن حصین (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک شخص دو افراد کے عوض فدیہ میں دیا۔
(ب) سلمہ بن اکوع نے جو عورت رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو ہبہ کی تھی ، رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کے عوض کئی قیدی منگوائے۔
18826 Hazrat Imran bin Husain (raz) farmate hain ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ek shakhs do afrad ke awaz fidya mein diya
b Salma bin Akwa ne jo aurat Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko hibba ki thi Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne uske awaz kai qaidi mangwaye
Abu Musa narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Feed the hungry, visit the sick and release (ransom) the captives." Sufyan said: "'Aani means captives."

(١٨٨٢٧) حضرت ابو موسیٰ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ آپ نے فرمایا : بھوکوں کو کھانا کھلاؤ، قیدی آزاد کرو اور بیمار کی تیمار داری کرو۔ سفیان کہتے ہیں کہ عانی سے مراد قیدی ہیں۔
18827 hazrat abu musa nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se naql farmate hain ki aap ne farmaya : bhukon ko khana khilao, qaiddi azad karo aur bimar ki timardari karo. sufyan kahte hain ki aani se murad qaiddi hain.
Abu Juhaifa reported that I said to Ali: O Commander of the Faithful, do you have in your possession anything in writing from the Divine Revelation? Thereupon he said: By Him Who split the grain (to germinate) and created the soul, nothing whatever is with me except that which is in this sheet of cloth, (this implies intelligence from Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, as He may bestow it upon whomever He wishes of His creation) and what is in this sheet? I said: What is in this sheet? He said: (The regulations concerning) blood-wit and the (ransoming of) captives and that no Muslim should be killed in qisas (equality in punishment) for an unbeliever. He (Abu Juhaifa) said: I asked 'Aṭa about the (ransoming of) captives what it implies. He said: Setting them free from the enemy, for this is a Sunnah that has been established, and he said that by sulh (making peace) he meant the payment of blood-wit.

(١٨٨٢٨) ابو جحیفہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت علی (رض) سے کہا : اے امیر المومنین ! کیا آپ کے پاس وحی سے کوئی خاص چیز ہے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : کچھ بھی نہیں، اس ذات کی قسم جس نے دانے کو پھاڑا اور روح کو پیدا فرمایا، صرف اس میں سوجھ بوجھ تو اللہ کسی انسان کو عطا کرتا ہے اور جو اس صحیفہ میں ہے ؟ میں نے پوچھا : صحیفہ میں کیا ہے ؟ تو فرمانے لگے : دیت اور قیدیوں کی آزادی کے بارے میں اور یہ کہ کسی مومن کو مشرک کے بدلے قتل نہ کیا جائے ۔ پھر کہتے ہیں : میں نے مطرف سے پوچھا : قیدی کو آزاد کرانا کیا ہے ؟ فرماتے ہیں کہ دشمن سے آزاد کروائیں، اس طرح سنت جاری ہے اور صلت کہتے ہیں کہ دیت ادا کرنا۔
(18828) Abu Juhaifa kahte hain ki maine Hazrat Ali (RA) se kaha: Aye Amir-ul-Momineen! kya aap ke pass wahi se koi khaas cheez hai? Unhon ne kaha: kuchh bhi nahin, is zaat ki qasam jisne daane ko phara aur rooh ko paida farmaya, sirf is mein soj bhooj to Allah kisi insan ko ata karta hai aur jo is sahifa mein hai? Maine poocha: sahifa mein kya hai? to farmane lage: dayt aur qaidion ki azadi ke baare mein aur ye ki kisi momin ko mushrik ke badle qatl na kia jaye. Phir kahte hain: Maine Mutruf se poocha: qaidi ko aazaad karana kya hai? farmate hain ki dushman se aazaad karwayen, is tarah sunnat jari hai aur silat kahte hain ki dayt ada karna.
