(6214) Abdullah bin Muhammad narrates from his forefathers that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray before the sermon, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) liked to recite Takbeer during the sermon.

(٦٢١٤) عبداللہ بن محمد اپنے آباء و اجداد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) خطبہ سے پہلے نماز پڑھا کرتے تھے اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پسند کرتے تھے کہ خطبہ کے دوران تکبیر کہیں۔
(6214) Abdullah bin Muhammad apne aba o ajdad se naql farmate hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) khutba se pehle namaz parha karte the aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) pasand karte the ki khutba ke doran takbir kahen.
(6216) (a) Ubaidullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utbah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that it is Sunnah to say nine Takbirs before the Khutbah when the Imam sits on the Minbar on the day of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, and seven when he stands up. Then he should supplicate and after that say Takbir as much as he wishes.
(b) Ubaidullah reported: He should say nine Takbirs consecutively when he stands up for the first Khutbah and seven Takbirs consecutively when he is in the second Khutbah.

(٦٢١٦) (الف) عبید اللہ بن عبداللہ بن عتبہ بن مسعود (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ امام عید الفطر اور عید الاضحی کے دن جب منبر پر بیٹھے تو خطبہ سے پہلے نو تکبیریں کہنا سنت ہے اور سات جس وقت وہ کھڑا ہو۔ پھر وہ دعا کرے اور اس کے بعد تکبیر کہے جو اس کے مقدر میں ہو۔
(ب) عبید اللہ فرماتے ہیں کہ نو تکبیریں مسلسل کہے، جب پہلے خطبہ میں کھڑا ہو اور سات تکبیریں مسلسل کہے جب دوسرے خطبہ میں ہو۔

Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utbah narrated that it is Sunnah for the Imam to recite Takbir (Allahu Akbar) on the day of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha before the Khutbah on the Mimbar (pulpit). The Imam should stand on the Mimbar before the Khutbah and recite nine consecutive Takbirs without any speech in between them, then he should deliver the Khutbah. Then he should sit for a while, then stand up for the second Khutbah and recite seven consecutive Takbirs without any speech in between them, then he should deliver the Khutbah.

(٦٢١٧) عبید اللہ بن عبداللہ بن عتبہ فرماتے ہیں کہ عید الفطر اور عید الاضحی کے دن منبر پر خطبہ سے پہلے امام کا تکبیر کہنا سنت ہے۔ امام خطبہ سے پہلے منبر پر کھڑے ہو کر نو تکبیریں مسلسل کہے اور ان کے درمیان کلام کے ذریعے فاصلہ نہ ہو، پھر وہ خطبہ دے ‘ پھر تھوڑی دیر بیٹھ جائے، پھر دوسرے خطبہ کے لیے کھڑا ہو ‘ پھر مسلسل سات تکبیریں کہے۔ ان کے درمیان کلام کے ذریعے فاصلہ نہ کرے، پھر خطبہ دے۔
6217 Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utba farmate hain ki Eid-ul-Fitr aur Eid-ul-Adha ke din mimbar par khutba se pehle imam ka takbir kehna sunnat hai. Imam khutba se pehle mimbar par kharay ho kar nau takbiren musalsal kahe aur unke darmiyaan kalaam ke zariye fasla na ho, phir wo khutba de. Phir thori dair baith jaye, phir dusre khutba ke liye khara ho, phir musalsal saat takbiren kahe. Unke darmiyaan kalaam ke zariye fasla na kare, phir khutba de.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Imam (prayer leader) on the day of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha should say 51 or 53 Takbeers (Allahu Akbar) in the first Khutbah (sermon) and separate his two Khutbahs with speech.

(٦٢١٨) ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ امام عید الفطر اور عید الاضحی کے دن پہلے خطبہ میں ٥١ یا ٥٣ تکبیریں کہے اور اپنے دونوں خطبوں کے درمیان کلام کے ذریعے فاصلہ کرے۔
(6218) Abu Hurairah (RA) farmate hain keh imam eid ul fitr aur eid ul azha ke din pehle khutbah mein 51 ya 53 takbirein kahe aur apne donon khutbon ke darmiyan kalaam ke zariye fasla kare.
