Chapter: Listening to the Khutbah on Eid; The Narrations Mention Listening to the Khutbah on Friday, and Listening to the Khutbah on Eid is Analogous to It

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 6222
Mujaahid narrates from Ibn 'Abbas that he disliked talking in four places: the two Eids, the prayer for rain (Istisqa), and the day of Jumu'ah (Friday).

(٦٢٢٢) مجاہد ابن عباس سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ وہ چار جگہوں میں کلام کو ناپسند کرتے تھے : عیدین ‘ نماز استسقاء اور جمعہ کے دن۔
(6222) Mujahid Ibn Abbas se naql farmate hain ki woh chaar jagahon mein kalaam ko napasand karte the : Eidain ‘ Namaz Istisqa aur Jumma ke din.
Abdullah bin Saib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led them in Eid prayer, then delivered the sermon. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever wishes to stay, let him stay, and whoever wishes to leave may leave.
In the narration of Ibn Hammad, it is said: I was present with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the day of Eid. When he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished the prayer, he said: Whoever wishes to listen to the sermon, let him listen, and whoever wishes to leave may leave.

(٦٢٢٣) عبداللہ بن سائب (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان کو نمازِ عیدپڑھائی، پھر خطبہ ارشاد فرمایا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جو ٹھہرنا چاہے وہ ٹھہر جائے اور جو جانا پسند کرے وہ جاسکتا ہے۔
ابن حماد کی روایت میں ہے کہ میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ عید کے دن حاضر ہوا۔ جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پوری کی تو فرمایا۔ جو خطبہ سننا پسند کرے وہ سنے اور جو جانا پسند کرے وہ جاسکتا ہے۔
6223 Abdullah bin Saib (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi (SAW) ne un ko namaz e Eid parhayi phir khutba irshad farmaya Aap (SAW) ne farmaya jo theherna chahe wo theher jaye aur jo jana pasand kare wo ja sakta hai
Ibn e Hamad ki riwayat mein hai ke mein Rasulullah (SAW) ke sath Eid ke din hazir hua Jab Aap (SAW) ne namaz poori ki to farmaya jo khutba sunna pasand kare wo sune aur jo jana pasand kare wo ja sakta hai
Yahya ibn Ma'een said regarding the narration of Abdullah ibn Sa'ib from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he (the Prophet) led him in Eid prayer, that it is a mistake. This is because only 'Ata narrates it and the mistake is from Fadl ibn Musa Sinani who narrates it from Abdullah ibn Sa'ib.

(٦٢٢٤) یحییٰ بن معین فرماتے ہیں کہ جو عبداللہ بن سائب نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان کو نماز عید پڑھائی، یہ خطا ہے؛ کیونکہ یہ صرف عطاء بیان کرتے ہیں اور اس میں فضل بن موسیٰسینانینے غلطی کی ہے جو عبداللہ بن سائب سے نقل فرماتے ہیں۔
Yahiya bin Muin farmate hain ki jo Abdullah bin Saib Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se riwayat karte hain ki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne unko namaz eid parhai, ye khata hai; kyunki ye sirf Ata bayan karte hain aur is mein Fazal bin Musa Sinan ne galti ki hai jo Abdullah bin Saib se naqal farmate hain.
Ibn Juraij narrated from 'Ata that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the people in Eid prayer, then said: "Whoever wishes to leave, let him leave, and whoever wishes to sit, let him sit."

(٦٢٢٥) ابن جریج عطاء سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے لوگوں کو عید پڑھائی، پھر فرمایا : جو جانا چاہے وہ چلا جائے اور جو بیٹھنا چاہے وہ بیٹھ جائے۔
