Abu Rafi' reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered us to kill dogs, so the people said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! What is allowed to us of those (dogs) which you have ordered to be killed?" So, Allah revealed this Verse: {They ask you (O Muhammad) what is allowed to them (as food). Say: "Lawful unto you are At-Tayyibat (all kind of Halal (lawful-good) foods…) and what you have trained the hunting animals to catch…} [Al-Ma'idah 4].

(١٨٨٦٦) ابو رافع فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ہمیں کتوں کو قتل کرنے کا حکم دیا تو لوگوں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! ہمارے لیے اس سے کیا حلال ہے جن کے قتل کا آپ نے حکم دیا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی :{ یَسْئَلُوْنَکَ مَاذَآ اُحِلَّ لَھُمْ قُلْ اُحِلَّ لَکُمُ الطَّیِّبٰتُ وَ مَا عَلَّمْتُمْ مِّنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُکَلِّبِیْنَ } [المائدۃ ٤] وہ آپ سے سوال کرتے ہیں کہ ان کے لیے کیا حلال ہے، کہہ دیجیے : تمہارے لیے پاکیزہ چیزیں حلال کی گئی ہیں اور جو تم نے شکاری کتے سدھائے ہیں۔
18866 Abu Rafi farmate hain keh Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne humein kutton ko qatal karne ka hukum diya to logon ne kaha: Aye Allah ke Rasool ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))! Humare liye is se kya halal hai jin ke qatal ka aap ne hukum diya hai to Allah Ta'ala ne yeh ayat nazil farmai: { Yas'alunaka maza uhilla lahum qul uhilla lakumut tayyibat wa ma 'allamtume minal jawarihi mukallibeen} [Al-Ma'idah 4] Woh aap se sawal karte hain keh un ke liye kya halal hai, keh dijiye: Tumhare liye pakizah cheezein halal ki gai hain aur jo tum ne shikari kutte sudhaye hain.
Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "I have a dog with which I hunt." He said, "Look at those who hunt (with dogs). Teach them what Allah has taught you, and eat what they catch for you."

(١٨٨٦٧) عدی بن حاتم (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سیعرض کیا : میرا کتا ہے جس سے میں شکار کرتا ہوں۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ان شکار کرنے والوں کی جانب دیکھو، انھیں سکھاؤ جو اللہ نے تمہیں سکھایا ہے اور اس شکار کو کھالو، جو تمہارے لیے روکے رکھیں۔
18867 Adi bin Hatim (RA) farmate hain ke maine Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se arz kiya: mera kutta hai jis se main shikar karta hun. Aap ne farmaya: in shikar karne walon ki jaanib dekho, unhen sikhao jo Allah ne tumhen sikhaya hai aur is shikar ko khao, jo tumhare liye roke rakhen.
(18868) Regarding Allah's saying: { وَ مَا عَلَّمْتُمْ مِّنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُکَلِّبِیْنَ } [Al-Ma'idah 4] "And what you have taught the beasts and birds of prey, that you have trained." 1 trained hunting dogs, 2 falcons, 3 every bird that is trained for hunting, { مُکَلِّبِیْنَ } Mujahid said hunting animals means birds and dogs that hunt and Qatadah said the dogs you hunt with { تَنَالُہٗٓ اَیْدِیْکُمْ } [Al-Ma'idah 94] meaning arrows, { اَیْدِیْکُمْ } refers to birds, etc., { وَ رِمَاحُکُمْ } refers to big game.

(١٨٨٦٨) حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) اللہ کے اس قول کے بارے میں فرماتے ہیں : { وَ مَا عَلَّمْتُمْ مِّنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُکَلِّبِیْنَ } [المائدۃ ٤] اور جو تم شکار کرنے والوں کو سکھاتے ہو۔ 1 شکاری کتے سدھائے ہوئے، 2 باز، 3 ہر وہ پرندہ جس کو شکار کے لیے سکھایا گیا ہو، { مُکَلِّبِیْنَ } شکار ی جانور مجاہد کہتے ہیں کہ پرندے اور کتے جو شکار کرتے ہو اور قتادہ فرماتے ہیں کہ جن کتوں سے تم شکار کرتے ہو { تَنَالُہٗٓ اَیْدِیْکُمْ } [المائدۃ ٩٤] یعنی تیر، { اَیْدِیْکُمْ } سے مراد چڑیا وغیرہ، { وَ رِمَاحُکُمْ } سے مراد بڑا شکار۔
18868 Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) Allah ke is qaul ke bare mein farmate hain : { WA MAA 'ALLAMTUM MINAL-JAWAARIHI MUKALLIBIIN } [Al-Maidah 4] aur jo tum shikar karne walon ko sikhaate ho. 1 shikari kutte sudhaye hue, 2 baaz, 3 har woh parinda jis ko shikar ke liye sikhaya gaya ho, { MUKALLIBIIN } shikar y jaanwar mujahid kahte hain ki parinde aur kutte jo shikar karte ho aur qatadah farmate hain ki jin kutton se tum shikar karte ho { TANAA LUHUU AYDIYKUM } [Al-Maidah 94] yani teer, { AYDIYKUM } se murad chidiya waghaira, { WA RIMAAHUKUM } se murad bada shikar.
