Bara' ibn 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade seven things and commanded seven: 1- Visiting the sick 2- Attending funerals 3- Responding to sneezes 4- Spreading peace (greeting with salam) 5- Helping the oppressed 6- Fulfilling oaths 7- Accepting invitations. And he forbade seven: 1- Wearing gold rings 2- Drinking from silver utensils 3- Wearing silk garments 4- Wearing thick silk 5- Wearing fine silk 6- Red silk saddles 7- Silk cushions.

(١٩٨٨٨) براء بن عازب (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے سات کاموں سے منع فرمایا اور سات کے کرنے کا حکم دیا : 1 تیماری داری کرنا 2 جنازہ پڑھنا 3 چھینک کا جواب دینا 4 سلام کو عام کرنا 5 ۔ مظلوم کی مدد کرنا 6 سچی قسم کھانا 7 دعوت کو قبول کرنا اور سات سے منع کیا : 1 سونے کی انگوٹھی پہننا 2 چاندی کے برتن میں پینا 3 ریشم زیب تن کرنا 4 موٹا ریشم پہننا 5 ۔ باریک ریشم زیب تن کرنا 6 سرخ ریشمی زین 7 ریشمی گدے۔
19888 Bara bin Aazeb (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne saat kaamon se mana farmaya aur saat ke karne ka hukm diya: 1 timaari daari karna 2 janaza padhna 3 chheenk ka jawab dena 4 salaam ko aam karna 5 mazloom ki madad karna 6 sachi qasam khana 7 dawat ko qabool karna aur saat se mana kya: 1 sone ki angoothi pehnna 2 chandi ke bartan mein peena 3 resham zeb tan karna 4 mota resham pehnna 5 bareek resham zeb tan karna 6 surkh reshmi zeen 7 reshmi gade.
Abdul Rahman bin Safwan narrated, "I took my father to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for the pledge of allegiance for Hijrah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Rather, I will take the pledge of allegiance for Jihad.' I went to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who was giving water to drink. I said, 'O Abu al-Fadl! I took my father to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) could take the pledge of allegiance for Hijrah, but he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not do so.' So, Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) walked with him in his clothes. They came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) began to say: 'O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! You recognized the conversation that took place between me and Abdul Rahman. Take the pledge of allegiance for Hijrah from his father.' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'There is no Hijrah.' So, Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) made him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) swear to take the pledge of allegiance for Hijrah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) extended his hand and said: 'I fulfill the oath of my uncle, but there is no Hijrah.'"

(١٩٨٨٩) عبدالرحمن بن صفوان فرماتے ہیں کہ میں اپنے والدکو لے کر نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ہجرت کی بیعت کے لیے آیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : بلکہ جہاد پر بیعت لوں گا۔ میں ابن عباس (رض) کے پاس گیا جو پانی پلا رہے تھے، میں نے کہا : اے ابوالفضل ! میں اپنے باپ کو لے کر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آیا کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہجرت پر بیعت لیں، لیکن آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نہیں کیا تو عباس (رض) ان کے ساتھ انھیں کپڑوں میں چل پڑے ۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آئے اور کہنے لگے : اے اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! جو میرے اور عبدالرحمن کے درمیان بات چیت ہوئی آپ نے اس کو پہچان لیا، آپ نے اس کے باپ سے ہجرت پر بیعت لیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ہجرت نہیں ہے، تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پر عباس نے قسم ڈال دی کہ آپ ہجرت پر بیعت لیں تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنا ہاتھ پھیلایا اور فرمایا : میں اپنے چچا کی قسم پوری کرتا ہوں، لیکن ہجرت نہیں ہے۔
19889 Abdur Rahman bin Safwan farmate hain ki main apne wald ko lekar Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas hijrat ki ba'at ke liye aaya. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : balki jihad par ba'at lunga. Main Ibn Abbas (RA) ke paas gaya jo pani pila rahe the, maine kaha : aye Abu al-Fazl! main apne baap ko lekar aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas aaya ki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) hijrat par ba'at len, lekin aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne nahin kiya to Abbas (RA) un ke sath unhen kapdon mein chal pade. Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas aaye aur kahne lage : aye Allah ke Rasul ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))! jo mere aur Abdur Rahman ke darmiyaan baat chit hui aap ne us ko pahchan liya, aap ne uske baap se hijrat par ba'at len. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : hijrat nahin hai, to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) par Abbas ne qasam daal di ki aap hijrat par ba'at len to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne apna hath phailaya aur farmaya : main apne chacha ki qasam puri karta hun, lekin hijrat nahin hai.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever makes someone swear an oath so that he may fulfill it, but he does not, then the sin is upon the one who did not consider it a wicked responsibility."

(١٩٨٩١) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جس نے کسی پر قسم ڈالی اس لیے کہ وہ اسی کی قسم پوری کر دے گا لیکن وہ ایسا نہیں کرتا تو گناہ اس پر ہے جس نے اس کو بری ذمہ قرار نہیں دلوایا۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Jis ne kisi par qasam dali is liye ke wo usi ki qasam puri kar dega lekin wo aisa nahin karta to gunah us par hai jis ne us ko buri zimma qarar nahin dilaya.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that a woman gifted her a plate full of dates. I ate from it and some were left on the plate. The woman said: I urge you by oath to eat it all. She (Aisha) said: Fulfill her oath because the expiation is on the one who breaks the oath.

(١٩٨٩٢) حضرت عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ ایک عورت نے کھجور سے بھری ایک تھالی تحفہ میں دی تو حضرت عائشہ (رض) نے اس سے کھائیں اور کچھ پلیٹ میں بچ گئی۔ عورت کہنے لگی : میں قسم ڈالتی ہوں کے آپ مکمل کھائیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا : اس کی قسم پوری کرو؛ کیونکہ کفارہ قسم توڑنے والے پر ہوتا ہے۔
Hazrat Ayesha (RA) farmati hain ke aik aurat ne khajoor se bhari aik thali tohfa mein di to Hazrat Ayesha (RA) ne us se khayen aur kuchh plate mein bach gayi. Aurat kahne lagi : mein qasam dalti hoon ke aap mukammal khayen. Aap ne farmaya : is ki qasam puri karo; kyunki kaffara qasam torne wale par hota hai.
