Chapter on the judge not judging unless he is full and cool
باب لا يقضي القاضي إلا وهو شبعان ريان
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 20282
Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A judge should only give a verdict when he is in a state of ease (of mind)."

(٢٠٢٨٢) ابوسعید خدری (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : قاضی صرف آسودگی کی حالت میں فیصلہ کرے۔
(20282) Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Qazi sirf asudagi ki halat mein faisla kare.
Idris Awdi said: Sa'eed ibn Abi Burdah took out a letter before us and said: This is the letter of 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) to Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him). He wrote: Beware of distress, troubling people, disputes in matters of rights, and denying what is true, for by that Allah makes the reward sure and stores it for His servant. Whoever keeps his inner self pure and straight before Allah, Allah will set right his affairs between him and the people. Whoever adorns something for the people, Allah will expose him. What does he lack of the world who hastens to it, other than Allah, and His mercy, and His treasures of well-being.

(٢٠٢٨٣) ادریس اودی فرماتے ہیں کہ سعید بن ابی بردہ نے ہمارے سامنے ایک خط نکالا اور فرمانے لگے : یہ خط حضرت عمر (رض) کا ابوموسیٰ (رض) کے نام ہے۔ لکھا ہے : پریشانی، لوگوں کو تکلیف دینے، حق کی جگہوں پر، جھگڑوں کے انکار سے بچو جس کی وجہ سے اللہ اجر کو ثابت کرتے ہیں اور بندے کے لیے ذخیرہ فرماتے ہیں۔ جو اپنے باطن کو اللہ کے سامنے صاف اور درست رکھتا ہے اللہ اس کے اور لوگوں کے درمیان معاملات درست کردیتے ہیں۔ جو لوگوں کے لیے کسی چیز کو مزین کر کے پیش کرتا ہے اللہ اس کو بدنما بنا دیتا ہے۔ تیسرا دنیا کے جلدی کرنے والے کے بارے میں اللہ کے علاوہ کے بارے میں کیا گمان ہے اور اس کی رحمت اور سلامتی کے خزانوں کے بارے میں۔
(20283) idrees odi farmate hain keh saeed bin abi burda ne hamare samne ek khat nikala aur farmane lage : yeh khat hazrat umar (rz) ka abumusa (rz) ke naam hai. likha hai : pareshani, logon ko takleef dene, haq ki jagahon par, jhagaron ke inkar se bacho jis ki wajah se Allah ajr ko sabit karte hain aur bande ke liye zakhira farmate hain. jo apne batin ko Allah ke samne saaf aur durust rakhta hai Allah us ke aur logon ke darmiyan mamlat durust karte hain. jo logon ke liye kisi cheez ko mazeen kar ke pesh karta hai Allah us ko badnuma bana deta hai. teesra duniya ke jaldi karne wale ke bare mein Allah ke ilawa ke bare mein kya guman hai aur us ki rehmat aur salamti ke khazano ke bare mein.
Muhammad bin Ammarah bin Sabrama narrated that Ibn Abi Layla would not sit for judgment until a dish of food was brought to him and then covered. But when it was the turn of women, there would be another man present with him on that day.

(٢٠٢٨٥) محمد بن عمارہ بن سبرمہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ابن ابی لیلیٰ فیصلہ کے لیے نہ بیٹھتے تھے، جب تک ان کے پاس کھانے کا ایک پیالہ نہ لایا جاتا، پھر اس کو ڈھانپ دیتے، لیکن جب عورتوں کی باری ہوتی تو اس دن ان کے ساتھ ایک اور آدمی موجود ہوتا تھا۔
(20285) Muhammad bin Ammarah bin Sabramah farmate hain ki Ibn e Abi Laila faisla ke liye nah baithte the, jab tak un ke pas khane ka ek piyala nah laya jata, phir us ko dhaanp dete, lekin jab auraton ki bari hoti to us din un ke sath ek aur aadmi mojood hota tha.
