Thalaba ibn 'Abbad al-'Abdi al-Basri was once present during a sermon of Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: "I and some young boys from the Ansar were practicing archery one day during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The sun appeared close to the horizon, at a distance equivalent to two or three spears' lengths, and its light had dimmed. One of us said to his companion, 'Let us go to the mosque with us.' By Allah, this sun has done something new for the Ummah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So we returned towards the mosque. Suddenly, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also appeared, and we joined him when he came out to the people."
The narrator said: "He (the Prophet) led us in prayer and made the standing so long - never before had he made us stand so long in the forenoon prayer - and his voice was not heard. Then he made the bowing so long - never before had he made it so long. Then he made us prostrate and it was so long - never before had he prostrated so long - and his voice was not heard. Then he did the same in the second rak'ah and remained sitting in the second rak'ah until the sun had risen."
The narrator said: "Then he (the Prophet) finished the prayer, praised and glorified Allah, and testified that there is no god but Allah and that he is His slave and Messenger. Then he said: 'O people, I am a human being and a Messenger of Allah. I remind you of Allah. If you know that I have fallen short in conveying the messages of my Lord, then inform me so that I may convey the messages of my Lord as they should be conveyed. If you know that I have conveyed the messages of my Lord, then inform me."
The narrator said: "The people stood up and said, 'We bear witness that you have conveyed the messages of your Lord, and wished well for your Ummah, and fulfilled the right that was upon you."
The narrator said: "Then they all fell silent. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'People think that the eclipses of the sun and the moon and the disappearance of the stars from their rising places are due to the death of some great person among the people of the earth. However, they are lying. These are but signs from among the signs of Allah by which He tests His servants, so that whoever repents to Me.... By Allah! From the time I stood up for prayer, I have seen what you will encounter in this world and the Hereafter. And by Allah! The Hour will not be established until thirty liars emerge. The last of them will be the Dajjal, blind in his left eye.
His eye will be like the eye of the old man of the Ansar, Abu Yahya. When he emerges, he will think that he is Allah. Whoever believes in him and affirms him and follows him, his previous good deeds will not benefit him, and whoever disbelieves in him and rejects him will not be punished for his previous evil deeds. He will dominate the entire earth except for the Haram (Mecca) and Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem). And the believers will gather in Bayt al-Maqdis, then there will be severe earthquakes, so Allah will defeat him and his army, until if one were to hide behind a wall or under the shade of a tree, the wall and the tree would say, "O believer! This disbeliever is hiding behind me, so kill him."
The narrator said: "It will never happen until you see matters whose severity will increase in your hearts, and you will ask each other, 'Did your Prophet mention anything about this?' Until the mountains move from their places. And then death will follow."
Then he (the Prophet) gestured with his hand. I attended his second sermon, and he mentioned the same hadith without any changes in its order or content.

(٦٣٦١) ثعلبہ بن عبادعبدی بصری ایک دن سمرہ بن جندب (رض) کے خطبہ میں حاضر ہوئے، انھوں نے فرمایا : میں اور انصار کے بچے ایک دن نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے دور میں نشانہ بازی کر رہے تھے کہ سورج آسمان کے کنارے میں دو نیزے یا تین نیزے کی مقدار کے مطابق لگ رہا تھا اور سورج بےنور ہوچکا تھا تو ہم میں سے ایک نے اپنے ساتھی سے کہا : ہمارے ساتھ مسجد چلیے۔ اللہ کی قسم ! اس سورج نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی امت کے لیے نئی بات پیدا کردی ہے۔ ہم مسجد کی طرف لوٹے۔ اچانک نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) بھی ظاہر ہوئے تو ہم نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی موافقت کی، جس وقت آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) لوگوں کی طرف نکلے۔ راوی فرماتے ہیں : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) آگے بڑھے اور ہمیں نماز پڑھائی۔ اتنا لمبا قیام کیا کہ اس سیپہلے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کبھی ہمیں اتنا لمباقیام نہیں کروایا اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی آواز بھی سنائی نہ دی۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اتنا لمبا رکوع کروایا، جتنا کبھی پہلے نہیں کروایا تھا۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ہمیں سجدہ کروایا اور اتنا لمبا کہ پہلے کبھی اتنا لمبا سجدہ نہیں کروایا تھا اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی آواز بھی سنائی نہ دی۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دوسری رکعت میں بھی ایسا ہی کیا اور سورج روشن ہونے تک دوسری رکعت میں بیٹھے رہے۔ راوی بیان کرتے ہیں : پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے سلام پھیرا۔ اللہ کی حمد وثنا بیان کی اور اس بات کی گواہی دی کہ اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں اور یہ کہ وہ اللہ کے بندے اور رسول ہیں، پھر فرمایا : اے لوگو ! میں انسان ہوں اور اللہ کا رسول ہوں۔ میں تمہیں اللہ کی یاد دلاتا ہوں، اگر تم جانتے ہو کہ میں نے اپنے رب کے پیغامات پہنچانے میں کوتاہی کی ہے۔ جب تم مجھے خبر دو گے یہاں تک کہ میں اپنے رب کے پیغامات پہنچادوں جیسا کہ مناسب ہے کہ ان کو پہنچایا جائے۔ اگر تم جانتے ہو کہ میں نے اپنے رب کے پیغامات کو پہنچا دیا ہے تو مجھے خبر دے دو ۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : لوگوں نے کھڑے ہو کر کہا کہ ہم گواہی دیتے ہیں۔ آپ نے اپنے رب کے پیغامات کو پہنچا دیا ہے اور اپنی امت کی خیر خواہی کی اور آپ نے وہ حق ادا کیا جو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے اوپر تھا۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : پھر سارے خاموش ہوگئے۔ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : لوگ خیال کرتے ہیں کہ یہ چاند اور سورج کا گرہن ہونا اور ستاروں کا اپنے طلوع ہونے کی جگہوں سے زائل ہوجانا زمین والوں میں سے کسی بڑے کی موت کی وجہ سے ہوتا ہے۔ حالانکہ وہ جھوٹ بولتی ہیں۔ یہ تو اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے نشانیاں ہیں، جس کی وجہ سے اللہ اپنے بندوں کو آزماتا ہے کہ کون مجھ سے توبہ کرتا ہے۔ اللہ کی قسم ! جب سے میں نماز کے لیے کھڑا ہوا ہوں تو میں نے وہ سب کچھ دیکھا ہے جسے تم دنیا اور آخرت میں ملنے والے ہو اور اللہ کی قسم ! اُس وقت تک قیامت قائم نہیں ہوگی جب تک کہتیس جھوٹے آدمی نہ نکلیں گے۔ ان میں سے آخری بائیں آنکھ سے کانا دجال ہوگا۔
اس کی آنکھ ایسے ہوگی، جیسے انصار کے بوڑھے ابو یحییٰ کی آنکھ ہے۔ جب وہ نکلے گا تو اس کا گمان ہوگا کہ وہ اللہ ہے۔ جو اس پر ایمان لایا اور اس کی تصدیق اور اتباع کی تو اس کے پہلے والے نیک عمل بھی اس کو فائدہ نہیں دیں گے اور جس نے اس کا انکار اور تکذیب کی اس کو اس کے پہلے برے اعمال کی وجہ سے سزا نہ دی جائے گی۔ وہ پوری زمین پر غلبہ پالے گا سوائے حرم اور بیت المقدس کے اور مومن لوگ بیت المقدس میں حاضر ہوجائیں گے، پھر شدید قسم کے زلزلے آئیں گے تو اللہ اسے اور اس کے لشکر کو شکست دیں گے، یہاں تک کہ اگر دیوار کے پیچھے اور درخت کی اوٹ میں کوئی ہوا تو وہ دیوار اور درخت کہے گا کہ اے مومن ! یہ کافر میرے پیچھے چھپا ہوا ہے تو اسے قتل کر دے۔ راوی کا بیان ہے کہ ہرگز اس طرح نہیں ہوگا، یہاں تک کہ تم ایسے امور کو دیکھو گے کہ ان کی شدت تمہارے دلوں میں بھی بڑھ جائے گی تو تم آپس میں سوال کرو گے کہ کیا تمہارے نبی نے تمہارے لیے کوئی چیز ذکر کی ؟ یہاں تک کہ پہاڑ بھی اپنی مقرر جگہوں سے ہٹ جائیں گے، پھر اس کے بعد موت ہے۔
پھر آپ نے اپنے ہاتھ سے اشارہ کیا۔ پھر میں دوسرے خطبہ میں حاضر ہوا تو انھوں نے پھر اس حدیث کو ذکر کیا اور اس میں تقدیم و تاخیر نہیں کی۔
(6361) Saibah bin Abad Abdi Basri aik din Samrah bin Jundub (Raz) ke khutbah mein hazir hue, unhon ne farmaya: mein aur Ansar ke bache aik din Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke daur mein nishana bazi kar rahe the ke Suraj aasman ke kinare mein do neze ya teen neze ki miqdar ke mutabiq lag raha tha aur Suraj benoor ho chuka tha to hum mein se aik ne apne saathi se kaha: humare saath masjid chaliye. Allah ki qasam! Is Suraj ne Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki ummat ke liye nayi baat paida kardi. Hum masjid ki taraf lautے. Achanak Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) bhi zahir hue to hum ne Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki muwafqat ki, jis waqt Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) logon ki taraf nikle. Ravi farmate hain: Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aage badhe aur humain namaz parhayi. Itna lamba qiyam kiya ke is se pehle Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne kabhi humain itna lamba qiyam nahin karwaya aur Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki aawaz bhi sunai na di. Phir Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne itna lamba ruku karwaya, jitna kabhi pehle nahin karwaya tha. Phir Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne humain sajdah karwaya aur itna lamba ke pehle kabhi itna lamba sajdah nahin karwaya tha aur Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki aawaz bhi sunai na di. Phir Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne dusri rakat mein bhi aisa hi kiya aur Suraj roshan hone tak dusri rakat mein baithe rahe. Ravi bayan karte hain: phir Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne salam phera. Allah ki hamd o sana bayan ki aur is baat ki gawahi di ke Allah ke ilawa koi mabood nahin aur yeh ke woh Allah ke bande aur rasool hain, phir farmaya: Aye logo! Mein insaan hun aur Allah ka rasool hun. Mein tumhen Allah ki yaad dilata hun, agar tum jante ho ke maine apne Rab ke paighamat pahunchane mein kotahi ki hai. Jab tum mujhe khabar doge yahan tak ke mein apne Rab ke paighamat pahunchadun jaisa ke munasib hai ke un ko pahunchaya jaye. Agar tum jante ho ke maine apne Rab ke paighamat ko pahuncha diya hai to mujhe khabar de do. Ravi kehte hain: logon ne kharhe ho kar kaha ke hum gawahi dete hain. Aap ne apne Rab ke paighamat ko pahuncha diya hai aur apni ummat ki khair khwahi ki aur Aap ne woh haq ada kiya jo Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke upar tha. Ravi kehte hain: phir sare khamosh hogaye. Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: log khayal karte hain ke yeh chand aur Suraj ka grahan hona aur sitaron ka apne talu hone ki jagahon se zail ho jana zameen walon mein se kisi bade ki mout ki wajah se hota hai. Halaanke woh jhoot bolti hain. Yeh to Allah ki nishaniyon mein se nishaniyan hain, jis ki wajah se Allah apne bandon ko aazmata hai ke kaun mujh se tauba karta hai. Allah ki qasam! Jab se mein namaz ke liye khara hua hun to maine woh sab kuchh dekha hai jise tum duniya aur aakhirat mein milne wale ho aur Allah ki qasam! Us waqt tak qayamat qaim nahin hogi jab tak tees jhoote aadmi na niklenge. In mein se aakhri bayen aankh se kana Dajjal hoga.
Uski aankh aise hogi, jaise Ansar ke budhe Abu Yahya ki aankh hai. Jab woh niklega to uska gumaan hoga ke woh Allah hai. Jo us par imaan laya aur uski tasdeeq aur ittaba ki to uske pehle wale nek amal bhi usko faidah nahin denge aur jisne uska inkar aur takzib ki usko uske pehle bure amal ki wajah se saza na di jayegi. Woh puri zameen par ghalba palega siwaye Haram aur Baitul Muqaddas ke aur momin log Baitul Muqaddas mein hazir ho jayenge, phir shadid qisam ke zalzale ayenge to Allah use aur uske lashkar ko shikast denge, yahan tak ke agar deewar ke peeche aur darakht ki oat mein koi hua to woh deewar aur darakht kahega ke aye momin! Yeh kafir mere peeche chhupa hua hai to use qatl kar de. Ravi ka bayan hai ke hargiz is tarah nahin hoga, yahan tak ke tum aise umoor ko dekhoge ke unki shiddat tumhare dilon mein bhi badh jayegi to tum aapas mein sawal karoge ke kya tumhare Nabi ne tumhare liye koi cheez zikr ki? Yahan tak ke paharr bhi apni muqarrar jagahon se hat jayenge, phir uske baad mout hai.
Phir Aap ne apne haath se ishara kiya. Phir mein dusre khutbah mein hazir hua to unhon ne phir is hadees ko zikr kiya aur is mein taqdeem o takheer nahin ki.
