Chapter: Obligation to Attend to the Stomach and Wash Any Harm Present Therein

باب ما يؤمر به من تعاهد بطنه وغسل ما كان به من أذى

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 6626

Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) son of Abu Talib narrates: I bathed the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I wanted to see if there were any impurities on him as is usual with the deceased, but I found none. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were pure in life and pure in death, and I became the one who placed you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the grave. Besides me, there were four other men: Ali, Abbas, Fadl and Salih, who was the slave of the Messenger of Allah. A niche was prepared for the Messenger of Allah, and bricks were laid.

(٦٦٢٦) حضرت علی (رض) بن ابی طالب کہتے ہیں : میں نے نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو غسل دیا۔ میں نے چاہا کہ جو عام میت کے ساتھ گندگی وغیرہ ہوتی ہے وہ دیکھوں تو میں نے کچھ بھی نہ پایا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) زندہ بھی پاکیزہ تھے فوت ہونے کے بعد بھی پاکیزہ تھے اور میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے دفن اور قبر کا والی بنا اور میرے علاوہ چار آدمی تھے : علی ‘ عباس ‘ فضل اور صالح جو رسول اللہ کا غلام تھا اور رسول اللہ کے لیے لحد تیار کی گئی اور اینٹیں نصب کی گئیں۔

6626 Hazrat Ali (RA) bin Abi Talib kahte hain : main ne Nabi Kareem (SAW) ko ghusl diya. Main ne chaha ke jo aam mait ke sath gandagi waghaira hoti hai wo dekhon to main ne kuchh bhi nah paya. Aap (SAW) zinda bhi pakiza the faut hone ke baad bhi pakiza the aur main aap (SAW) ke dafan aur qabar ka wali bana aur mere alawa chaar aadmi the : Ali Abbas Fazal aur Saleh jo Rasul Allah ka ghulam tha aur Rasul Allah ke liye lahad taiyar ki gai aur enten nasb ki gain.

٦٦٢٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، ثنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ،عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ:قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ:" غَسَّلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَهَبْتُ لِأَنْظُرَ مَا يَكُونُ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ فَلَمْ أَرَ شَيْئًا، وَكَانَ طَيِّبًا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَيًّا وَمَيِّتًا،وَوَلِي دَفْنَهُ وَإِجْنَانَهُ دُونَ النَّاسِ أَرْبَعَةٌ:عَلِيٌّ، وَالْعَبَّاسُ، وَالْفَضْلُ، وَصَالِحٌ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلُحِدَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَحْدٌ أَوْ نُصِبَ عَلَيْهِ اللَّبِنُ نَصْبًا "

(6627) It is narrated by Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that I gave the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) a ritual bath and I began to see what usually happens with a dead body, but I did not find anything because you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were pure, both in life and after death.

(٦٦٢٧) حضرت علی (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو غسل دیا اور وہ کچھ دیکھنے لگا جو عام میت کے ساتھ ہوتی ہے تو میں نے کچھ بھی نہ پایا، کیونکہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) زندہ اور فوت ہونے کے بعد بھی پاکیزہ تھے۔

(6627) Hazrat Ali (RA) se riwayat hai keh maine Rasool Allah (SAW) ko ghusl diya aur wo kuch dekhne laga jo aam mayyat ke sath hoti hai to maine kuch bhi na paya, kyunkay aap (SAW) zinda aur faut hone ke baad bhi pakeezah thay.

٦٦٢٧ - وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، إِمْلَاءً، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ، بِهَمْدَانَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ،وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دِيزِيلَ قَالَ:ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ،عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ:" غَسَّلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ مَا يَكُونُ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ فَلَمْ أَرَ شَيْئًا، وَكَانَ طَيِّبًا حَيًّا وَمَيِّتًا، صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "

Ibn Sirin narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever gives a bath to the deceased, should begin by pressing their stomach.”


Grade: Da'if

(٦٦٢٨) ابن سیرین بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جس نے میت کو غسل دیا اسے چاہیے کہ وہ ابتدا پیٹ نچوڑے سے کرے۔

(6628) ibne sereen bayan karte hain keh rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : jis ne mayyat ko ghusl diya usay chahiye keh woh ibteda pet nichoray se kare.

٦٦٢٨ - وَأنبأنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، إِجَازَةً، أنبأ أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، ثنا أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، ثنا جُنَيْدٌ أَبُو حَازِمٍ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ،عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ:قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتًا فَلْيَبْدَأْ بَعَصْرِهِ ". هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ، وَرَاوِيهُ ضَعِيفٌ
