Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1325
(1325) (a) Narrated by Khuzaimah bin Thabit Ansari that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said regarding wiping over the socks: A resident (will wipe over his socks) for a day and a night, and a traveler for three days and three nights. (b) Imam Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) about this hadith, and he said: In my opinion, the narration of Khuzaimah bin Thabit regarding socks is not authentic because Abu Abdullah Jadli's narration from Khuzaimah (may Allah be pleased with him) from Taghri is not proven, and Shu'bah says that Ibrahim Nakha'i's narration of the hadith of wiping from Abu Abdullah Jadli is not proven. (c) The Shaykh (Imam Tirmidhi) said: The story of Zaidah, narrated from Mansur, is evidence for the authenticity of Shu'bah's narration. This has already been mentioned at the beginning of the chapter. (d) This hadith is narrated by Zawad bin 'Alaba Harithi, and he is weak. He narrates from Muṭarrif, from Shu'bi, from Abu 'Abdullah Jadli. (b) Khuzaimah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that a traveler may wipe (over his socks) for three days. He (the narrator) said: If we had asked for more, you (the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would have granted us more.

(١٣٢٥) (الف) سیدنا خزیمہ بن ثابت انصاری سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے موزوں پر مسح سے متعلق فرمایا : مقیم ایک دن اور ایک رات اور مسافر تین دن اور تین راتیں مسح کرے گا۔ (ب) امام ترمذی (رح) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے امام بخاری (رح) سے اس حدیث کے متعلق پوچھا تو انھوں نے کہا : میرے نزدیک خزیمہ بن ثابت کی روایت جو موزوں کے متعلق ہے صحیح نہیں ہے؛ کیونکہ ابوعبداللہ جدلی کا سیدنا خزیمہ (رض) کا طغری سے سماع ثابت نہیں ہے اور شعبہ کہتے ہیں کہ ابراہیم نخعی کا ابوعبداللہ جدلی سے حدیثِ مسح کا سماع ثابت نہیں۔ (ج) شیخ کہتے ہیں : زائدۃ کا قصہ جو منصور سے منقول ہے وہ شعبہ کی روایت کے صحیح ہونے پر دلیل ہے۔ یہ شروع باب میں گزرچکا ہے۔ (د) اس روایت کو ذواد بن علبہ حارثی نے بیان کیا ہے اور وہ ضعیف ہے۔ وہمطرفعن شعبی عن ابی عبداللہ جدلی بیان کرتا ہے۔ (ب) سیدنا خزیمہ بن ثابت (رض) نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ مسافر تین دن مسح کرے گا۔ فرماتے ہیں : اگر ہم زیادہ طلب کرتے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) زیادہ کردیتے۔

١٣٢٥ - أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، وَحَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ،عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ:" لِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ وَلِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةٌ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ.وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعُكْلِيُّ وَأَبُو مِعْشَرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى التِّرْمِذِيُّ:سَأَلْتُ مُحَمَّدًا يَعْنِي الْبُخَارِيَّ عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَقَالَ: لَا يَصِحُّ عِنْدِي حَدِيثُ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ لِأَنَّهُ لَا يُعْرَفُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ سَمَاعٌ مِنْ خُزَيْمَةَ وَكَانَ شُعْبَةُ يَقُولُ: لَمْ يَسْمَعْ إِبْرَاهِيمُ النَّخَعِيُّ مِنْ أَبِي عَبْدُ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيُّ حَدِيثَ ⦗٤١٩⦘ الْمَسْحِ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ: وَقِصَّةُ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ تَدُلُّ عَلَى صِحَّةِ مَا قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَقَدْ مَضَتْ فِي أَوْلِ الْبَابِ وَرَوَاهُ ذَوَّادُ بْنُ عُلْبَةَ الْحَارِثِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "يَمْسَحُ الْمُسَافِرُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ " وَلَوِ اسْتَزَدْنَاهُ لَزَادَنَا
