Chapter on what Allah the Almighty commanded him regarding consultation, saying: {And consult them in the matter}
باب ما أمره الله تعالى به من المشورة، فقال: وشاورهم في الأمر
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 13304
Imam Shafi'i (may God have mercy on him) narrated that Imam Hasan al-Basri (may God have mercy on him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) was not in need of consultation, but he did it so that the rulers after him would make it a Sunnah (tradition).
Grade: Da'if
(١٣٣٠٤) امام شافعی (رح) سے روایت ہے کہ امام حسن بصری (رح) فرماتے تھے : نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) مشاورت سے مستغنی تھے، تاکہ آپ کے بعد حکام اس کو سنت بنالیں۔
(13304) Imam Shafi (rah) se riwayat hai keh Imam Hasan Basri (rah) farmate thy : Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) mashwarat se mustaghni thy, taake aap ke baad hukkam is ko sunnat bana len.
١٣٣٠٤ - وَفِيمَا أَجَازَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ رِوَايَتَهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ،عَنِ الشَّافِعِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ:قَالَ الْحَسَنُ الْبَصْرِيُّ:" إِنْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَغَنِيًّا عَنِ الْمُشَاوَرَةِ، وَلَكِنَّهُ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْتَنَّ بِذَلِكَ الْحُكَّامُ بَعْدَهُ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ "
