Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 13764
Wathilah ibn Asqa reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah chose Kinanah from the children of Ishmael, then he chose Quraysh from Kinanah, then he chose the tribe of Hashim from Quraysh, then he chose me from the tribe of Hashim.”

(١٣٧٦٤) واثلہ بن اسقع فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ نے بنو کنانہ کو بنو اسماعیل سے چن لیا اور قریش کو بنو کنانہ سے چن لیا اور بنو ہاشم کو قریش سے چن لیا اور بنو ہاشم سے میرا انتخاب کرلیا۔
13764 Wasla bin Asqa farmate hain ke Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Allah ne Banu Kinana ko Banu Ismail se chun liya aur Quresh ko Banu Kinana se chun liya aur Banu Hashim ko Quresh se chun liya aur Banu Hashim se mera intekhab kar liya.
١٣٧٦٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ،وَأَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ السُّوسِيُّ قَالَا:ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ،وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَا:ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمَّارٍ شَدَّادٌ،عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ:قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ اللهَ اصْطَفَى بَنِي كِنَانَةَ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ، وَاصْطَفَى مِنْ بَنِي كِنَانَةَ قُرَيْشًا وَاصْطَفَى مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، وَاصْطَفَانِي مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ "،وَقَالَ الرَّبِيعُ:قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ اللهَ اصْطَفَى مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، وَاصْطَفَانِي مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ "، أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ
