Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 13863
Qatadah reported from Sa'id bin Jubair regarding the Ayah: {The fornicator does not marry except a [female] fornicator or polytheist} [An-Nur 24:3], that there were promiscuous women in Madinah and so Allah forbade the believers from marrying them. This is the saying of Qatadah.

(١٣٨٦٣) حضرت قتادہ سعید بن جبیر سے اس آیت کے بارے میں نقل فرماتے ہیں : { الزَّانِی لاَ یَنکِحُ اِلَّا زَانِیَۃً اَوْ مُشْرِکَۃً } [النور ٣] کہ مدینہ میں زانیہ عورتوں کی شہرت تھی تو اللہ نے مومنوں کو ان سے نکاح کرنے سے منع فرما دیا۔ یہ قتادہ کے قول ہے۔

١٣٨٦٣ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ،وَعُبَيْدٌ قَالَا:ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ، ثنا يَحْيَى، أنبأ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، أنبأ سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ،أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ:{الزَّانِي لَا يَنْكِحُ إِلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوْ مُشْرِكَةً، وَالزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنْكِحُهَا إِلَّا زَانٍ أَوْ مُشْرِكٌ}[النور: ٣]قَالَ:" كُنَّ بَغَايَا فِي الْمَدِينَةِ مَعْلُومٌ شَأْنُهُنَّ فَحَرَّمَ اللهُ نِكَاحَهُنَّ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ "وَهُوَ قَوْلُ قَتَادَةَ
