Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 13864
Mujahid reported that some people intended to marry women who were well-known fornicators in the pre-Islamic period. So it was said to them that it was unlawful for them (to marry such women). So Allah, the Exalted, revealed this verse regarding them, declaring marriage with them as unlawful.

(١٣٨٦٤) حضرت مجاہد فرماتے ہیں کہ کچھ انسان دور جاہلیت کی مشہور زانیہ عورتوں سے نکاح کا ارادہ رکھتے تھے تو ان سے کہا گیا کہ یہ حرام ہیں۔ ان کے بارے میں اللہ نے یہ آیت نازل کردی کہ اللہ نے ان سے نکاح کو حرام قرار دیا ہے۔

١٣٨٦٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ،عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ:" هُمْ رِجَالٌ كَانُوا يُرِيدُونَ نِكَاحَ نِسَاءٍ زَوَانٍ بَغَايَا مُتَعَالِنَاتٍ كُنَّ كَذَلِكَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ،فَقِيلَ لَهُمْ:هَذَا حَرَامٌ، فَنَزَلَتْ فِيهِمْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فَحَرَّمَ اللهُ نِكَاحَهُنَّ "
