Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 14054
Qais ibn Rabi' said: "My grandfather became Muslim while having eight wives. He mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he (the Prophet) said: 'Choose any four of them.'"

(١٤٠٥٤) قیس بن ربیع فرماتے ہیں کہ میرا دادا مسلمان ہوا تو اس کی ٨ بیویاں تھیں۔ اس نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے تذکرہ کیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ان میں جو چار چاہو منتخب کرلو۔
Qais bin rabia farmate hain ke mera dada musalman hua to is ki 8 biwiyan thin. us ne nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se tazkara kiya to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: in mein jo chaar chaho muntakhib karlo.
١٤٠٥٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ،عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ:أَسْلَمَ جَدِّي وَعِنْدَهُ ثَمَانِ نِسْوَةٍ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،فَقَالَ:" اخْتَرْ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا أَيَّتَهُنَّ شِئْتَ "
