Chapter on what is mentioned in the verse: 'And you will never be able to be equal between wives, even if you should strive. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging.'

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 14748
(14748) Amr bin Al-'Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent him with the army of Dhat as-Salasil. He said: When I came back, I said: “O Messenger of Allah, who among the people is most beloved to you?” He said: “Aisha.” I said: “From amongst the men?” He said: “Her father.” I said: “Then who?” He said: “Umar.” Then he mentioned some other people. Others narrated: “Then Umar,” meaning that the words “Thumma Umar” were said. In the narration of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the words are “Umar.” (b) In the hadith of Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), when he said to his daughter Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her): “Do not let it grieve you that your neighbor is so beautiful and is more beloved to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) than you,” he was referring to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).

(١٤٧٤٨) عمرو بن عاص (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان کو ذات السلاسل لشکر کے ساتھ بھیجا، کہتے ہیں : میں واپس آیا تو میں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! لوگوں میں سے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو زیادہ محبوب کون ہے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : عائشہ۔ میں نے پوچھا : مردوں میں سے ؟ فرمایا : اس کا باپ میں نے کہا : پھر کون ؟ فرمایا : عمر (رض) ۔ آپ نے پھر کئی شخص شمار کیے اور دوسروں نے کہا : پھر عمر، یعنی ثم عمر کے الفاظ بیان کیے، سیدہ عائشہ (رض) کی روایت میں عمر کے الفاظ ہیں۔ (ب) حضرت عمر بن خطاب (رض) کی حدیث میں ہے کہ جب انھوں نے اپنی بیٹی حفصہ (رض) سے کہا کہ تجھے یہ بات دھوکے میں نہ ڈالے کہ تیری ہمسائی بڑی خوبصورت ہے اور وہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو تجھ سے زیادہ محبوب ہے، وہ حضرت عائشہ (رض) کا ارادہ کر رہے تھے۔
(14748) Amr bin Aas (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne un ko Zatus Salaasil lashkar ke sath bheja, kehte hain : mein wapas aaya to mein ne kaha : aye Allah ke Rasul! Logon mein se aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko ziada mehboob kon hai? Aap ne farmaya : Ayesha. Mein ne poocha : mardon mein se? Farmaya : is ka baap. Mein ne kaha : phir kon? Farmaya : Umar (RA). Aap ne phir kai shakhsh shumar kiye aur dusron ne kaha : phir Umar, yani summa Umar ke alfaz bayan kiye, Sayyida Ayesha (RA) ki riwayat mein Umar ke alfaz hain. (b) Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (RA) ki hadees mein hai keh jab unhon ne apni beti Hafsa (RA) se kaha keh tujhe yeh baat dhokhe mein na dale keh teri humsai badi khoobsurat hai aur woh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko tujh se ziada mehboob hai, woh Hazrat Ayesha (RA) ka irada kar rahe the.
١٤٧٤٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، نا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ،عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ قَالَ:أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ عَلَى جَيْشِ ذَاتِ السَّلَاسِلِ قَالَ: ⦗٤٨٨⦘ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ أَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيْكَ؟قَالَ:" عَائِشَةُ "،قُلْتُ:مِنَ الرِّجَالِ قَالَ:" أَبُوهَا "،قُلْتُ:ثُمَّ مَنْ؟قَالَ:" عُمَرُ فَعَدَّ رِجَالًا "وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ ثُمَّ عُمَرُ، رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى، وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ،وَقَدْ مَضَى فِي أَوَّلِ كِتَابِ النِّكَاحِ حَدِيثُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ حَيْثُ قَالَ لِابْنَتِهِ حَفْصَةَ:" لَا يَغُرَّنَّكِ إِنْ كَانَتْ جَارَتُكِ هِيَ أَوْسَمُ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْكِ "يُرِيدُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا
