Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1590
Narrated Zayd ibn Thabit's daughter: The women would ask for lamps in the middle of the night so they could check the state of their purity. She (Zayd ibn Thabit's daughter) found fault with them and would say: "What are these women doing?" (Meaning she did not approve of this action of the women).

(١٥٩٠) زید بن ثابت کی بیٹی سے روایت ہے کہ عورتیں آدھی رات کو چراغ منگواتی، تاکہ وہ اپنے طہر کی طرف دیکھیں اور وہ ان پر عیب لگاتی تھی اور کہتی تھی : عورتیں یہ کیا کرتی ہیں (یعنی عورتوں کے اس کام کو اچھا نہ سمجھتی تھیں) ۔
1590 Zaid bin Sabit ki beti se riwayat hai ki aurten aadhi raat ko chiragh mangwati, taaki woh apne tahar ki taraf dekhen aur woh un par aib lagati thi aur kehti thi: Aurten ye kya karti hain (yani aurton ke is kaam ko achcha nahin samajhti thin).
١٥٩٠ - وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ أَنَّهَا حَدَّثَتْهُ عَنِ ابْنَةِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ،أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهَا أَنَّ نِسَاءً كُنَّ يَدْعُونَ بِالْمَصَابِيحِ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ لَيَنْظُرْنَ إِلَى الطُّهْرِ فَكَانَتْ تَعِيبُ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَتَقُولُ:" مَا كَانَ النِّسَاءُ يَصْنَعْنَ هَذَا "وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا عَلَى وَجْهٍ آخَرَ
