Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1730
(1730) It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdur Rahman bin Yazid that Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to pray the Maghrib prayer when we would see that the sun was about to rise. One day we looked towards it, so he said: "What are you looking at?" They said: "We are looking at the sun." Abdullah said: "By Allah, besides Whom there is no deity, this is the time of this prayer." Then he recited: {Establish prayer at the decline of the sun [from its meridian] until the darkness of the night} [Al-Isra 17:78]. This is the setting of the sun.

(١٧٣٠) عبد الرحمن بن یزید سے روایت ہے کہعبداللہ بن مسعود (رض) مغرب کی نماز پڑھایا کرتے تھے، جب کہ ہم دیکھتے تھے کہ سورج طلوع ہونے والا ہو تاہم نے ایک دن اس کی طرف دیکھا تو اس نے کہا : تم کیا دیکھ رہے ہو ؟ انھوں نے کہا : ہم سورج کو دیکھ رہے ہیں۔ عبداللہ کہتے ہیں : اللہ کی قسم ! جس کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں، یہ اس نماز کے اوقات ہیں، پھر فرمایا : { أَقِمِ الصَّلاَۃَ لِدُلُوکِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَی غَسَقِ اللَّیْلِ }[الاسراء ٧٨] یہ سورج کا ڈھل جانا ہے۔
1730 Abdur Rahman bin Yazid se riwayat hai ke Abdullah bin Masood (Razi Allahu Anhu) Maghrib ki namaz parhaya karte thay, jab ke hum dekhte thay ke sooraj taloo hone wala ho to hum ne aik din us ki taraf dekha to us ne kaha: Tum kya dekh rahe ho? Unhon ne kaha: Hum sooraj ko dekh rahe hain. Abdullah kahte hain: Allah ki qasam! Jis ke alawa koi mabood nahi, yeh is namaz ke auqat hain, phir farmaya: { Aqimis Salat li dulookish Shams ila ghasaqil layl } [Al-Isra 78] yeh sooraj ka dhal jana hai.
١٧٣٠ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ، أنا إِسْحَاقُ، أنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعُمَارَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ،قَالَ:" كَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ وَنَحْنُ نَرَى أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ طَالِعَةٌ قَالَ: فَنَظَرْنَا يَوْمًا إِلَى ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: مَا تَنْظُرُونَ؟قَالُوا:إِلَى الشَّمْسِ،قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ:هَذَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ مِيقَاتُ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ:{أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَى غَسَقِ اللَّيْلِ}[الإسراء: ٧٨]فَهَذَا دُلُوكُ الشَّمْسِ "
