Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 17497
Umar said that he came to know that Ubaidullah bin Umar and his companions had drunk wine. He said that he would inquire about them and if they were intoxicated, he would punish them. Saib said: I saw that they were given the prescribed punishment.

(١٧٤٩٧) حضرت عمر کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے پتہ چلا کہ عبیداللہ بن عمر اور ان کے ساتھیوں نے شراب پی ہے، میں ان کے بارے میں پوچھتا ہوں اگر انھوں نے نشہ کیا ہے تو میں انھیں حد لگاؤں گا۔ سائب کہتے ہیں : میں نے دیکھا کہ ان کو حدلگائیگئی۔
Hazrat Umar kehte hain keh mujhe pata chala keh Ubaidullah bin Umar aur un ke sathiyon ne sharaab pee hai, mein un ke bare mein poochta hun agar unhon ne nasha kiya hai to mein unhen had lagaun ga. Saib kehte hain : mein ne dekha keh un ko had lagai gai.
١٧٤٩٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّزَّازُ، ثنا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، سَمِعَ ⦗٥٤٣⦘ السَّائِبَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ،يَقُولُ:سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ: " ذُكِرَ لِي أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ وَأَصْحَابًا لَهُ شَرِبُوا شَرَابًا، وَأَنَا سَائِلٌ عَنْهُ،فَإِنْ كَانَ يُسْكِرُ حَدَدْتُهُمْ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ:عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ،عَنِ السَّائِبِ:فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَحُدُّهُمْ
