Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 19720
Sufyan bin Abdul Malik narrates that when it was mentioned in front of Abdullah bin Mubarak that eating dirt is forbidden, he refuted it and said: If this was a command of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I would have placed it upon my head and eyes and obeyed.

(١٩٧٢٠) سفیان بن عبدالملک فرماتے ہیں کہ عبداللہ بن مبارک کے سامنے بیان ہوا کہ مٹی کھانا حرام ہے تو انھوں نے انکار کردیا اور فرمایا : اگر یہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا فرمان ہوتا تو میں سر اور آنکھوں پر رکھتا اور اطاعت کرتا۔
Sufyan bin Abd al-Malik farmate hain ki Abdullah bin Mubarak ke samne bayan hua ki mitti khana haram hai to unhon ne inkar kar diya aur farmaya: Agar yah Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ka farman hota to main sar aur aankhon par rakhta aur itaat karta.
١٩٧٢٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَرَّاحِيُّ بِمَرْوَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَاسَوَيْهِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ السُّكَّرِيُّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ، أنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ،قَالَ:وَذُكِرَ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ -يَعْنِي:ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ حَدِيثٌ، أَنَّ أَكْلَ الطِّينِ حَرَامٌ فَأَنْكَرَهُ،وَقَالَ:" لَوْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَهُ لَحَمَلْتُهُ عَلَى الرَّأْسِ وَالْعَيْنِ، وَالسَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ "
