Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 3397
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent me on an errand while he was headed towards Banu Mustaliq. When I returned, I found the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sitting on his camel. I wanted to speak to him, but he gestured with his hand. The narrator, Zuhri, then gestured with his hand to indicate silence. Jabir continues, saying that when he tried to speak again, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) repeated the gesture, and Zuhri again demonstrated the gesture of pointing towards the ground. Jabir said that he could hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reciting and making gestures with his head. When he finished, he asked, "What was the outcome of the errand I sent you on?" The reason I was prevented from speaking was that he was in prayer. Zuhri, who was sitting facing the direction of prayer with Abu Zubair, then gestured with his hand towards the direction of Banu Mustaliq, indicating a direction other than the direction of prayer.

(٣٣٩٧) سیدنا جابر (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مجھے کسی کام کے لیے روانہ کیا اور آپ بنی مصطلق کی طرف گئے ہوئے تھے۔ میں جب (کام سے) واپس آیا تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دیکھا کہ آپ اپنے اونٹ پر بیٹھے ہیں، میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے بات کرنا چاہی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنے ہاتھ کے ساتھ اشارہ کیا۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : زہیر نے اپنے ہاتھ سے اشارہ کر کے بتایا : میں نے پھر بات کی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مجھے اس طرح اشارہ کیا اور زہیر نے بھی ایسے ہی اپنے ہاتھ کے ساتھ زمین کی طرف اشارہ کیا۔ جابر بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں سن رہا تھا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پڑھ رہے تھے اور سر سے اشارہ بھی کر رہے تھے۔ جب آپ فارغ ہوئے تو فرمایا : جس کام کے لیے تمہیں بھیجا تھا اس کا کیا کر آئے ہو ؟ مجھے کلام سے مانع بات یہ تھی کہ میں نماز میں تھا۔ زہیر کہتے ہیں اور ابو زبیر ان کے ساتھ قبلہ رخ ہو کر بیٹھے تھے تو انھوں نے اپنے ہاتھ سے بنی مصطلق کی طرف اشارہ کرتے ہوئے کہا، یعنی اپنے ہاتھ کے ساتھ غیر قبلہ کی طرف اشارہ کیا۔
(3397) Sayyidina Jabir (Razi Allah Anhu) bayan karte hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne mujhe kisi kaam ke liye rawana kiya aur aap Bani Mustaliq ki taraf gaye huye the. Mein jab (kaam se) wapas aaya to Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko dekha ki aap apne unt par baithe hain, maine Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se baat karna chahi to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne apne hath ke sath ishara kiya. Rawi kahte hain : Zahir ne apne hath se ishara kar ke bataya : maine phir baat ki to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne mujhe is tarah ishara kiya aur Zahir ne bhi aise hi apne hath ke sath zameen ki taraf ishara kiya. Jabir bayan karte hain ki mein sun raha tha : aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) padh rahe the aur sar se ishara bhi kar rahe the. Jab aap farigh huye to farmaya : Jis kaam ke liye tumhein bheja tha us ka kya kar aaye ho ? Mujhe kalaam se mane baat yah thi ki mein namaz mein tha. Zahir kahte hain aur Abu Zubair un ke sath qibla rukh ho kar baithe the to unhon ne apne hath se Bani Mustaliq ki taraf ishara karte huye kaha, yani apne hath ke sath ghair qibla ki taraf ishara kiya.
٣٣٩٧ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زِيَادٍ،قَالَا:ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثنا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ،عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:أَرْسَلَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُنْطَلِقٌ إِلَى بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ فَأَتَيْتُهُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ فَكَلَّمْتُهُ،فَقَالَ لِي بِيَدِهِ:هَكَذَا وَأَوْمَأَ زُهَيْرٌ بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ كَلَّمْتُهُ،فَقَالَ لِي:هَكَذَا وَأَوْمَأَ زُهَيْرٌ أَيْضًا بِيَدِهِ نَحْوَ الْأَرْضِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُهُ يَقْرَأُ يُومِئُ بِرَأْسِهِ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ:" مَا فَعَلْتَ فِي الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتُكَ لَهُ؟ فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي أَنْ أُكَلِّمَكَ إِلَّا أَنِّي كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي "قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ وَأَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ جَالِسٌ مَعَهُ: مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْكَعْبَةِ، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ إِلَى بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى غَيْرِ الْكَعْبَةِ رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يُونُسَ
