Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 4849
(4849) Rabi' ibn Sulayman said: Imam Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) informed me that whoever prays Witr in the first part of the night, then he should pray two rak'ahs until Fajr (dawn). (b) Hattan ibn Abdullah said: 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Witr is of three types: Whoever wants to pray Witr in the early part of the night, then let him pray it, then when he wakes up, let him make it even with one rak'ah, then let him pray two by two until Fajr, then let him pray Witr. If he wishes, let him pray two by two until Fajr, and if he wishes, let him pray Witr in the last part of the night."

(٤٨٤٩) ربیع بن سلیمان فرماتے ہیں کہ امام شافعی (رح) نے مجھے خبر دی کہ جس نے رات کے پہلے حصہ میں وتر پڑھا تو وہ دو رکعات نماز پڑھے صبح تک۔ (ب) حطان بن عبداللہ فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت علی (رض) نے فرمایا : وتر تین قسم کے ہیں : جو رات کے ابتدائی حصہ میں وتر پڑھنا چاہے تو پڑھ لے، پھر وہ بیدار ہو تو ایک رکعت کے ذریعہ جوڑا بنا لے، پھر دو دو رکعات کر کے صبح تک نماز پڑھے، پھر وہ وتر پڑھ لے۔ اگر چاہے تو دو دو رکعات صبح تک پڑھے، اگر چاہے تو رات کے آخری حصہ میں وتر پڑھ لے۔
(4849) rabi bin sulaiman farmate hain ki imam shafai (rh) ne mujhe khabar di ki jis ne raat ke pehle hissa mein witr parha to woh do rakat namaz parhe subah tak. (b) hattan bin abdullah farmate hain ki hazrat ali (rz) ne farmaya : witr teen qisam ke hain : jo raat ke ibtidai hissa mein witr parhna chahe to parh le, phir woh bedar ho to ek rakat ke zariye joda bana le, phir do do rakat kar ke subah tak namaz parhe, phir woh witr parh le. agar chahe to do do rakat subah tak parhe, agar chahe to raat ke aakhri hissa mein witr parh le.
