Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 5132
Abu Mas'ud Ansari narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let the one among you who is the best in reciting the Quran lead the prayer. If they are equal in the recitation of the Quran, then I think you (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who has more knowledge of the Sunnah. If they are equal in the Sunnah, then the one who migrated first. If they are equal in Hijrah, then the one who is older in age. And no person should lead another in prayer in his presence, nor should he sit in the place of honor in his house, except with his permission."

(٥١٣٢) ابو مسعود انصاری فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : قوم کی امامت وہ کرائے جو قرآن کو سب سے زیادہ پڑھا ہوا ہو۔ اگر قرآن میں برابر ہوں تو میرا گمان ہے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جو سنت کو زیادہ جانتا ہو۔ اگر سنت میں بھی برابر ہوں تو وہ جو ہجرت میں مقدم ہو اور اگر ہجرت میں برابر ہوں تو جو عمر میں بڑا ہو اور کوئی شخص کسی کی بادشاہت میں اس کی امامت نہ کروائے اور نہ ہی گھر میں اس کی عزت والی جگہ میں بیٹھے، لیکن اجازت کے بعد۔
(5132) Abu Masud Ansari farmate hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Qaum ki imamat wo karaye jo Quran ko sab se ziada parha hua ho. Agar Quran mein barabar hon to mera gumaan hai ki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Jo sunnat ko ziada janta ho. Agar sunnat mein bhi barabar hon to wo jo hijrat mein muqaddam ho aur agar hijrat mein barabar hon to jo umar mein bada ho aur koi shakhs kisi ki badshahat mein uski imamat na karwaye aur na hi ghar mein uski izzat wali jaga mein baithe, lekin ijazat ke baad.
٥١٣٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثنا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ،عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ ضَمْعَجٍ قَالَ:سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" يَؤُمُّ الْقَوْمَ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللهِ، فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ سَوَاءً،أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ:فَأَعْلَمُهُمْ لِلسُّنَّةِ، فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي السُّنَّةِ سَوَاءً فَأَقْدَمُهُمْ هِجْرَةً، فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْهِجْرَةِ سَوَاءً فَأَقْدَمُهُمْ سِنًّا، وَلَا يُؤَمُّ الرَّجُلُ فِي سُلْطَانِهِ، وَلَا يُجْلَسُ عَلَى تَكْرِمَتِهِ فِي بَيْتِهِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ". أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأَعْمَشِ
