Chapter: What is Used to Wash the Deceased and the Sunnah of Repeating the Washing
باب ما يغسل به الميت وسنة التكرار في غسله
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 6635
Ibrahim narrated from the companions of Abdullah. They said: The deceased should be given a bath with an odd number of water pourings, and should be given an odd number of shrouds, and should have an odd number of layers of shrouds.

(٦٦٣٥) ابراہیم اصحاب عبداللہ سے بیان کرتے ہیں۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ میت کو طاق عدد میں غسل دیا جائے اور طاق ہی کفن دیا جائے اور طاق ہی میڈھیاں کی جائیں۔

٦٦٣٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّرِيفُ الْإِمَامُ أَبُو الْفَتْحِ الْعُمَرِيُّ، أنبأ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الشُّرَيْحِيُّ، أنبأ الْبَغَوِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، أنبأ شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَصْحَابِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالُوا" الْمَيِّتُ يُغَسَّلُ وِتْرًا، وَيُكَفَّنُ وِتْرًا، وَيُجْمَرُ وِتْرًا "
