Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 78
(78) It is narrated on the authority of Abu Waqid al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to Medina, the people used to like the humps of camels and the fat tails of sheep. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Any part of a living animal that is cut off while it is still alive is carrion (it is unlawful to eat).” (b) Some of our companions have used this as an argument.

(٧٨) ابو واقد لیثی (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) جب مدینہ تشریف لائے تو لوگ اونٹوں کی کوہان کو پسند کرتے تھے اور دنبوں کی چکی بھی تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : زندہ جانور کا جو حصہ زندہ ہونے کی حالت میں کاٹ لیا جائے وہ مراد ہے (اس کا کھانا حرام ہے) ۔ (ب) ہمارے بعض اصحاب نے اس سے حجت لی ہے۔
Abu Waqid Laithi (RA) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah (SAW) jab Madina tashreef laaye to log oonton ki kohan ko pasand karte the aur dambon ki chakki bhi to Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya : zinda janwar ka jo hissa zinda hone ki halat mein kaat liya jaye woh murad hai (is ka khana haram hai) . (b) Humare baaz ashaab ne is se hujjat li hai.
٧٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أنا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ ⦗٣٦⦘ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ،قَالَ:قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَالنَّاسُ يَجُبُّونَ أَسْنَامَ الْإِبِلِ، وَيَقْطَعُونَ أَلْيَاتِ الْغَنَمِ،فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَا قُطِعَ مِنَ الْبَهِيمَةِ وَهِيَ حَيَّةٌ فَهُوَ مَيْتَةٌ ". وَقَدِ احْتَجَّ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا بِمَا
