Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 7930
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gestured three times with his hand, saying, “The month is like this, like this, like this.” Then, on the third time, he closed his thumb and said, “Complete thirty days if the clouds obscure it.”

(٧٩٣٠) عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے تین مرتبہ ہاتھ سے اشارہ فرمایا کہ مہینہ ایسے ہوتا ہے ایسے ہوتا ہے ایسے ہوتا ہے۔ پھر تیسری مرتبہ اپنے انگوٹھے کو بند کرلیا اور فرمایا : اگر بادل چھاجائیں تو تیس دن پورے کرو۔
(7930) Abdullah bin Umar (RA) farmate hain ki Rasul Allah (SAW) ne teen martaba hath se ishara farmaya ki mahina aise hota hai aise hota hai aise hota hai phir teesri martaba apne angoothe ko band karliya aur farmaya agar badal chha jaen to tees din pure karo.
٧٩٣٠ - مَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ،قَالَ:قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا، وَهَكَذَا، وَهَكَذَا، ثَلَاثُ مَرَّاتٍ بِيَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَبَضَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ إِبْهَامَهُ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا ثَلَاثِينَ "
